1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Felt some inspiration. The text itself isn't warped right (yet) but it was my first time warping text in illustrator so I need to work on that. Any constructive criticism?

I like to see that you're doing some arts and sharing it with us. Thank you and thumbs up.

It looks to me like the classic sailor's tattoo: heart with a ribbon around that says "mommy". So this isn't a good replacement option for me, personally. If you want to try again, maybe do a brainstorm first of objects, shapes, materials that have something to do with motor racing. You'll end up with a nice list from which you can pick what item can reasonably be represented in a logo.

Good piece of work, but in my opinion it doesn't seem to fit the GT3 / Motorsport theme for me. Most of the team logos in GT3 are text focused, and that includes the SRO and Blancpain GT logos.
    https://www.blancpain-gt-series.com/teams

So perhaps something more text focused would work better?

There's nothing wrong with the current logo, it's just plain text with the AC logo worked in which imho is a bit bland. I was just wondering what an alternate version more similar to other videogames would look like!

My intention was to go exactly the other direction since I think the current logo is fine if that is what you are after. I was trying to imagine what a more 'logo'-like logo would look like, if that makes sense?

Maybe this could fit something more akin to an eSports League or something. I dunno.

I wouldn't say this one is more logo like. It's great and everything but I have some experience working with an awkwardly shaped logo and trying to fit it onto a page. If a logo is an awkward shape it can look wrong when applied to other media like an ad printed on paper. A logo that's just a rectangular shape fits everywhere with everything, awkward shapes can have ugly white spaces around that are hard to get rid of or mask. The more awkward the shape the more complicated it is too, so it doesn't reduce down to well, once it's made small all those details get lost and it can look like a mess.

I've found the more simple a logo is the easier it is for everyone else to work with. Just look at all big companies now, they've completely moved away from complicated designs. That way no matter what media their logo is used, or how big or small it's printed it still looks like their logo. Creating something that's both simple and distinctive is hard in todays world of media overload.

Sorry, looks like clip art. Also, a bit juvenile - reminds me a bit of the Paw Patrol logo (I have young children, not a fan myself! :D).

EDIT: just re-read this and it sounds a bit harsh. Sorry, it's just not my cup of tea.

Good points. One of my points of inspiration for this logo would be Rocket League. In regard to your valid arguments, would combining the logo with the text based logo be a good alternative? Sort of like, ahem, Rocket League did?

I wasn't sure about the shield logo, but I guess it makes sense, because a shield would come really handy against the dummies that you can find in many of the (unrestricted) servers :p

I hear what you say, as a designer myself it is harsh to hear critique on your work. But some valid points and recommendations where made. This Logo of rocket league is made in a rectangle. so it works everywhere. Put your logo in a rectangle and the type beside it and it will work better then as is now.

Yeah that is what I mean. I am no designer by any means, just a hobbyist who had an idea he wanted to create. I'm currently tryping this from my desk job, so I can't really make a proof of concept unless it is made in paint. :p

It depends who the logo is aimed at. Rocket league is a fun game for all ages, there is a competitive battle element to it so the shield makes sense to that game. There's no battle element to ACC other than the competitive racing element. So I don't think the shield is as relevant to ACC as it is to rocket league.

ACC is simulating the race series populated by very rich people. Even sim racers are pretty well to do folks. So your audience is high end, sophisticated, or at least that's how the average ACC customer is going to think of themselves.

You always need to put yourself in the shoes of the person the logo is aimed at. It doesn't matter what you like, it's about appealing to your customers desires.

Well, he is the person the logo is aimed at, so the shoes should fit!
