Why a DLC with a slower class ? why not a faster class than GT3 ?

gt4 are cool, but I prefer GT2 or GT1, like Formula car, the more experience you have the fastest car you want...GT4 is like a step back for my experience driving.....I will buy the DLC of course, but I think I will stay with GT3....imagine Hamilton with Formula 2....lol ? same for WRC....why race R5 or R2 if you have the skill for WRC ??
I guess a lot of people struggle with GT3 and need a slower car

A slower type of car doesn't mean it's less interesting to drive, in this case I even think it's quite the opposite.

GT3 cars are relatively easy to drive, lots of downforce and plenty of electronics. I actually expect people to have a harder time being fast in a GT4 with less downforce, less mechanical grip and softer suspensions. Inputs, braking points, turning points, weight transfer, everything is going to be different. I mean don't get me wrong they're still race cars but they're closer to momentum cars than the very planted GT3s. Some have vastly different characteristics, going from the lightweight *cough* underpowered *cough* Alpine to the powerhouse that is the Merc SLS.

So if some people struggle with GT3s, expect them to struggle even more with GT4s lol

 

Would you rather ACC have been GT4s to start, and just now they added the GT3s as DLC?

 

You do realize the only current "faster" GT class than GT3 is GTLM and they are basically the same cars, less of them, and they are barely any faster. Also they aren't an SRO property.

No people don't need a slower car, its good because its a very different driving experience to get the most out of it. The drivers who impress me the most are the ones who can drive a slow car fast. IE this past weekend Sim Grid had a ACC Porsche Cup race at Bathurst. There were guys running those things nearly as fast as the GT3 cars.
