1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

What causes drivers to be disqualified while racing online?

Does anyone know what the rules are with disqualification while racing online?

I've been DQ'd 4 times now, all 4 times on the start finish straight with the car dropped into the pits instantly with the black flag in the top left hand corner.

I endeavour to drive cleanly and not cut corners although in 2 of those races I did and served the 10 second 'slow down' penalty.

It feels like a bug but I'd like to rule out me doing something that triggers the DQ.

    Cheers
    Evan

edit: all 4 penalties were received while travelling in a straight line within the track limits without collisions on the start/finish straight

Probably a bug thats causing it or the penalty system needs to be looked at again? I have also been disqualified for minor reasons but its good in a way as it teaches you not to do the same mistakes, but still the penaltys are a bit dodgy and need to be looked at if they haven't already IMO. 2 wheels off track gives me a 10sec penalty especially on monza at the first chicane so i slow down and can see my delta taking the punishment but as soon as i touch the throttle even a slight press the 10sec penalty starts again!?! So now if i ever get any penalty i just release the throttle completely and wait for penalty time to run out before even touching the throttle. This is very frustrating because if you receive a penalty with someone approaching your rear end at a high speed you cant accelerate to get out of the way without the penalty timer starting all over again.

Yeah I do the same for the time penalties and practice along with learning the tracks and braking points helps avoid them to begin with which is something I like. I just wish I new why the DQ, would anyone have a list or a link to a complete list of penalties?

I dont know if its exactly the same as on PC but DQ's on PC are if you jump the start and don't server drive through within the required 3 laps, if your driving backwards around the track for a certain amount of time. Or if you do a track cut and fail to slow before completing the next lap, on the pc the time penalty for cutting track is pretty obvious on screen and until the actual penalty display goes off screen you haven't yet served the penalty and so will be DQ if you cross the line.

Its possible there is a bug on the console version if the penalty has been cleared with no warning left on screen and your getting DQ.

A little hint for time penalties. Monza is not good for this as it is a fast track, but if for instance you are racing around Spa. Do not do the penalty till the final chicane, or a very slow corner/hairpin on other tracks, brake to under 30kph (or whatever it is) and then accelerate to the finish line, it can save you a little time.

P.S. This is not a good move if you have people around you, as you will be going 5-10kph slower than those you are racing. The best option is not to get penalties in the first place. :)

P.S.S Good luck getting this sorted out, if it is indeed a bug. It would become really annoying very quickly in a full on race.

You sure you didn't have an unserved slow down penalty picked up earlier in the lap?

I'm pretty sure in hadn't. I take it the time penalty continues to show in the top left hand corner until cleared? I'm sure at least two of the DQ were after laps without shortcut penalties, should these be displayed onscreen somewhere until taken? Feels like I must be missing something.

Thanks to all for your responses:)

You won't get DSQ for being hit. Did you cut the chicane?
