1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Welcome to the thread for the Weekly Hotlap #62 :Ayrton Senna's Lotus 98T

    The Challenge.
    Car: Lotus 98T
    Track: Imola

    This challenge is presented with the utmost respect and is intended as a tribute to one of the best drivers of all time.

    The first challenge of 2018. I have broken WHL tradition by choosing a car that has been used before. (#25)

    Here's the amateur version:


    For obvious reasons, the layout used for real in 1986 was different to the one featured in Assetto Corsa.

    The Rules.
    Mode: Hotlap
    Time of day: Free
    Ambient Temp: 26 Degrees
    Setup: Free
    Controller: Free
    Assists: Factory
    Stability: Free

    If it isn't mentioned here then assume the setting is free.

    Please make sure you have the ambient temperature set correctly, and that you are in hotlap mode, I really don't like disallowing times!

    The Deadline.
    Sunday January 7th 2018 - 22:00 GMT.

    How to take part!
    To enter simply head into the game select Drive > Hotlap and choose the Lotus 98T and head to Imola . Make sure you setup the session using the settings detailed in this thread and hit the track!

    You can run as many laps as you like and update your times as often as you like, its simple :) All Platforms are welcome, it is all about having fun and enjoying Assetto Corsa.

    To submit a time, pause the game and select 'session' from the menu and screenshot this page or take a photo of your screen and post it in this thread - Note all the information from the screen is required including temperature, mode heading and of course the car being used!

    Feel free to post video clips and share information in here as well, but without the session screen your time will not be included (placing the session screen in a video clip is acceptable).

    You also need to state the time and your platform in the body of your post, this should be the first thing you do, the image should then be placed below the text. It would also be helpful to mark updated times with Improvement. This makes collating the results much easier.

    A leader board will be collated from time to time, this will keep everyone up to date on where they currently stand...Unfortunately editing of posts gets locked on this forum so this post will not be updated.

    Feel free to use the unofficial leader board but remember you still need to include the session screen in this thread to be included in the results.

    but it makes so much sense. :)
    historically and this car on this track - :):):)
    until now (started with 33 - lambo at black cat country) my absolute favourite.:):):):)
    what a blast to drive - must try again this evening with the headset and really, really loud!:p

    and the setup - whoosa. again to learn a lot.

    only first try with the fast tyres - its time for the aliens again, in a real race a look in the mirror after 20(?) laps is necessary - aliens are coming nearer to lap ;)

    Managed a Quick couple of laps.
    Lots of practice needed for this one over the week. Not sure how bad my time is but I’d say I’m around 4-5 secs down at the moment or maybe more, Soon find out once the Aliens start posting their times.

    if i could improve everyday this way - than i am faster as light speed at the end of this whc :)

    = negative speed ;)
    = cross the finish line before you start .....:D

    edit: sissy is bad in maths :D- he thinks every whc lasts two weeks --->14 days 7s improvement - light speed incoming. :rolleyes:
    but this whc lasts only one week....:cool:

    This is a scary and yet another enjoyable combo. I'm afraid of the corners with this car and push the throttle gently. Turbo 90% and very low wing.
