1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Graphics Performance Test: Multiple Cars on Starting Grid

    Hi all,

I created a video where I placed 16 different car models at the same time on the starting grid at Mugello.

Basically I was testing what would be the performance hit of displaying many cars at the same time. To my surprise, frame rate was steady at 59.999 must of the time.

I am not 100% sure if this would be a valid test, but I had all the cars visible at the same time and never experience any perceptible slow down or fps hickup.

Native video size is 1280x720. I am not sure when the HD version will be available on youtube.

I published my AC settings and Computer specs on the video.

I get C++ Runtime Error when I try to load more then 3 or 4 AI cars at the same time. I'm not an expert on this but does this have to do with the system not supporting this heavy load? Is this a sign that I won't be able to play MP or AI? I'm so worried about it :(

sounds like you have vsync on,. turn it off to see maximum fps you get, and then do a test with those ai cars

I have a close PC specs on yours and i get aronud 150 fps with one car of course.
If you please can redo the test without VSync ON and FPS Cap to see how much fps you realy have with those settings, but nevertheless i am pleased to see it didt drop below 60 fps, even if it was a standing grid, not in motion.

I have created two new videos of AC showing 24 cars on the starting grid at Mugello, using different vsync and frame limit options.

I have included the fps meter in order to display how fps are impacted by the number of cars being displayed.

Assetto Corsa 0.4.1 - 24 Cars Starting Grid VSync Off Frame Limit Off

Assetto Corsa 0.4.1 - 24 Cars Starting Grid VSync On Frame Limit 60

    Thanks for your time.
So from around 120 fps to minimum of 60 fps on your specs i say this is good.
With the same game settings but Faces per Frame at 5 and 1 car on track i have around 150 fps....loosing only 60 or 70 is not bad at all....
If i can keep it at around 70 fps that will be great but there might be moments where it wil go even lower, i hope not lower than 50...because there will be visual lag at that number.

Of course this is just a test...we will really see how fps is influenced by the full AI or Multiplayer when will be available...

I get 160 fps with one car, with 26 cars i have from 25 to 60 fps with a lot of stuttering. The game is unplayable. With one screen non problem, but i can't sell 2 monitors to play AC.

Static cars on a grid is 1 thing, 24 cars driving with smoke, dust etc is another.

I have 2 monitors at 1280 x 1024 @ 70hz set as clone so what i see on one monitor,i see on the other one aswell.
My playseat has only one monitor,in that low resolution, and this might help me get that 150 fps with lower specs than yours....If i lower a bit the ingame settings like faces per frame to 2 or 3,the fps go up more....
For people with 3x monitors at huge resolution,i think they need a bit of a monster PC to run it on maximum setting and this is alright i think..
There are stil people this days that cant run at maximum setting Crysis 1....
