1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

You very well may be 100% correct. As I mentioned, I haven't really even looked at any of my lap times with any of the cars yet. I was just throwing ideas out there. I can't say that I feel they're particularly slow, but you are right...the stopwatch doesn't lie.

No they are not sorry. On Silverstone National for example, the Porsche 918 beats the LaFerari and gets even or so with the P1 so to say an example. All 3 of them are separated by a tenth or two. The Carrera S is about a second faster than the M4 and on par or so with the Corvette C7 usually, on any track.
On the other hand, the 918 is certainly a difficult car to go fast. Not difficult in terms of keeping it on the road, but difficult to understand the driving technique required to make it go faster. Look how steady the driver on the 918 real nords video is. It's not because he is not pushing, it is because he throws the car in a turn and waits for it to do "its thing"...

I'm sure that with more practice you'll end up dong proper laptimes

  3. Can I ask did you use the Semi-Slick? With street boots it was just ridiculously fun to drive. You definitely feel the weight of the rear end but at the same time it's so balanced and comfortable. Still you better not lift the throttle in a wrong place or you will be on trouble. I enjoyed the car most. 911 3.0 RSR comes second (pretty much equal thou) what goes to my personal fun factor meter.

The Cayman S on 96% grip on the Nordschleife can barely get into the 7 minute range, the best I've done is 8:04, and I was driving it hard, this is for a car that's usually in the 7:45-7:50 range. They certainly handle like I expected them too, but I feel like there's a bit of edge missing, the same thing goes with the Carrera S.The 918 on the other hand feels very flustered when driving hard, but I'll take your advice and not force the car to be what it's not :).

@Aristotelis - I hope you have time for one more. Did anything change with brakes in v1.9? Or ABS system? I'm not complaining about them, but there just feels like something is different with the brakes on cars I'm very familiar with. I know Placebo is strong...but I swear something is different -- like it takes more pedal to get the same braking force as before v1.9. Maybe I'm losing my mind?

I don't think so, at least on Porsches it's not the case, they brake like crazy.

I also suggest that you guys start using more track grip. The latest v10 tyre is more "sensitive". I believe that now 96% is a bit too on the low side. Better something like 98% or 99%. And yes even 1% of difference is important.
In real life too. Think about it. An excellent street tyre gives around 1.0g (lateral or longitudinal, depending the car). A good semislick tyre will give around 1.1g at the same car (no other modifications). This 1% change, when you drive it, feels like "oh my god so much grip! amazing!" .... so yeah, I believe we are a bit too low now on some track grip presets.

It depends what cars you're trying. The 911RSR, 935/78 and 917/30 all have brake fade. They start cold and as you brake they heat up rapidly. At first you have to step on them almost full range, then start to modulate. The v10 certainly offers more "feel", it's more communicative IMHO.

are the hypercar trofeo tires still pure slicks, & the hypercar road tires the proper trackday tire? and should the PSI be dropped a few clicks when using the latter if so?

What about Panamera tires? Is that a mistake with hypercar tires? Would just like to have it confirmed before i completely start enjoying it :)

Just to put that into perspective: V8 did a 7:54 in the Cayman S on street tyres. ;)

I hear that Porsche has quite a good connection with Michelin high performance tyres... top quality... you need that to do certain laptimes on the ring... ;)

@Aristotelis: Thank you for the tips Aris, and congrats on the 911 feel, it is spot-on ;).
@Berniyh: Will try some more then, I did do it on 93-95% grip though.

I believe but i always enjoy the regular everyday street tires more when having an option :) Will we be getting those for Panamera?

I've bookmarked the posts from Aris because I know someone is going to start complaining tomorrow and it's always nice to be able to show a post from the guys in charge. Man...even the graphical detail on the cars looks better than before.
