1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

@Trezoitao38 You are right, comparing to 250F it is really incredibly quick, can't argue with that. But comparing to Goodwood revival is a bit slow, but perhaps it could be down to tires compound.

Graham Hill did 1:27.4 in a 250 GTO at Goodwood in 1963. The cars at the Revival typically have more power than their 60s counterparts rather than more grip.

Also, Are you aware how much downforce a modern era F1 car produces?

Yep, it is even mentioned on some Goodwood videos (possibly the Blakeney-Edwards Cobra video recently) that they pretty much all run more power than back in the day.

Yeah you are absolutely right but the cars feel totally different. The SF70H to me feels more realistic, especially after seeing many onboards
I am very much aware of the DF levels, but those cars simulate modern F1 in such a different way.. it just feels different ;)

Well m8, that fella you quoted is right.
There is something terribly wrong with the F1 cars.... they are too damn fast for this old grump. :D

Somehow I knew that a post like that could only be about the current F1 car. xD

  10. Done app. 300 km in 250 GTO so far and it runs as I expected - fast and controllable (at least with my pace :)).
    Very fine vintage car. :D

  11. I agree. Was a disappointed how it drives and sounds. Kunos F1 drives on rails but with Formula Hybrid you dance between under- and oversteer. The looks are superb though!

Edit: Not saying that it drives wrong but it's nowhere near as fun/dynamic as the RSS one.

I'm in 1:30's, but can't see 27's-28's happening in AC. Regardless of driver skill.
Other than that, 250GTO is amazing around Goodwood.

Tried only the 812 and f2004 so far... And I'm in love with the latter! Very driveable and it allows non-aliens like me to have a good amount of fun!

I love the F2004, but i need a 2nd brain to process fast enough to drive to the full potential of that beast!:eek::eek:
I've always the feeling that i'm loosing time all around, because how stable and driveable it is.
And that TC sounds brings back memories!

Only disappointed about the '84 GTO, brakes and gearbox didn't click with my drivingstyle. Or maybe i have expected and better handling car.

Great pack again, really enjoying the cars I've tried so far. This little gem here and the final dream pack later this year will be a nice roundup of AC1. In the year where the game riped like a good wine that 250GTO kind of feels like the final climax, such a pleasure to steer it out of the corners on the throttle and working that wheel all the time, sounds fantastic too.

And I still got 6 more cars to try!

There are some Bridgehampton, Silverstone and possibly Monza results in there that you could test also. It wouldn't be the only classic car that seems way off pace in AC compared to RL times on RSC though.

The german is killing me. For such a big event, it seems so local and not internationaly friendly. :|
I mean, translating english to german after each question? ho well ...

I did also a few races in the Lotus 25 @ Goodwood last night and managed 1:26.x. Then checked lap times and Jim Clark did 1.21.x and 1.20.x in Qualifying '64 and '65. Then checked Revival lap times from past few years and they are running 24's-25's so nowadays they are much slower and AC is closer to that.
Anyway, it will be good fun to run some laps in the 250 GTO and compare them to some real life lap times, thanks for the link.

That's a good old german TV Interviewer habbit. Germans are not the best in talking english in general because it isn't used much in the daily lifes of people here.
Hopefully there will be a more international aproach next year when the SimExpo gets bigger :)
