1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

PS4 Wheel rotation bug

    Hi there,
I’ve tested the cars of the new car pack, and again, unfortunately, there’s the issue of the rotation of the wheel in game that doesn’t correspond to what I do in real.
I have a Logitech G29, and the issue is present in the following cars:
    * 1962 250 GTO
    * 1984 GTO
and also in other cars that were already reported (for example the Porsche Carrera, Porsche Moby Dick, ...). I hope that this issue will be definitively fixed, because it affects beautiful cars that right now are impossible to drive.
    Thank you for reading
(and thank you for the F2004 and its melody)

This might be a dumb question, apologies if it is so. Could it be you have over rotated the wheel. I don't use softlock (PC owner), which I expect is the same as the console, so if I over rotate the wheel i.e. the wheels on the car have gone as far as they can go, yet I rotate my G29, then the wheel is not responding in my hands as depicted on the screen. Or are you turning the wheel and there is a dramatic difference between what you are doing and the wheel on screen when meandering down the straights and attacking fast corners?

edit: Just inquisitive minds, it's not like I can help, I was just interested in the issue. :)

The problem is definitely the difference between what I do and what I see. This happens in every moment, and it’s totally disconnected from soft lock (at least in my experience). It drives me crazy, also because the car turns more than I want, following the virtual rotation and not my rotation. And at high speeds this issue makes the car undriveable.
Maybe it could be a problem due to Logitech wheels (900 degrees of rotation vs 1080 degrees of Thrustmaster), but for some cars that have 1080 degrees of rotation, my G29 works fine.
I hope I’ve explained myself in the best way

do you mean the fact that the in game wheel turns a little more than youre wheel? i thought that was normal.

The wheel in game does not turn a little more than the physical wheel in any of the cars except the ones mentioned. In all cars in all sim games I've got the animated wheel and the physical wheel are 1:1. This is how it should be.

Exactly , it is not anymore 1:1 and after the patch the situation got worse.
I believe it is wheel dependent.. can anyone else with G29 try this?
Essentially the rotation of your physical wheel should match 1:1 the rotation of the animated wheel?

Thanks for letting us know. I think I will definitely wait until these issues are fixed before buying the Ferrari pack.

Hi Luke7 , I suspect has nothing to do with the DLC but with the patch 1.6? Did you install it? Do you have the G29? Can you test it ?

I have that problem with the mclaren 650S if I use a car with a different DOR before it. If I restart the game and the mclaren 650S is the first one I use, or if I use one that has the same DOR before it, everything works fine.

Sorry, I haven't downloaded the patch yet because I've used up all my data (all 125000 MB of it) for this month and it's being shaped so it would take forever to download. I'll have to wait a few more days.

I did play AC yesterday and all the cars I've driven were all good, so it's possible that patch 1.6 messed something up.

Interesting, I will try this workaround , what "degrees of rotation" did you set in your console?

    Luke7 Simracer

I have the g29 and ingame I have it set to 900 degrees, I believe.

ah ok.. this is my assumption.. after driving the f1 2014 ( which is really cool) and did a couple of laps with 650s and porsche gt3.. the wheel rotation was completely messed up

    Luke7 Simracer

Sadly yes. This is actually not the first that this has happened. We had the same problem after the 2nd or 3rd patch except it affected pretty much all the cars.

Luckily not. They released a hotfix literally within a few days. But I and a few others had to exert a bit of pressure on them.

Something to try and see if it works on G29:-
I used the G27 via a GIMX adapter on PS4 and it showed up as a G29. I could adjust the wheel rotation by pressing the "start" and "select" buttons together with PS buttons to give
    "start" + "select" + "circle" = 670 degrees rotation
    "start" + "select" + "square" = 450 degrees rotation
    "start" + "select" + "X" = 900 degrees rotation
    "start" + "select" + "Triangle" = 240 degrees rotation

You will need to find the equivalent "start" + "select" buttons on G29. (on G27 they are the middle 2 red buttons on the gear shifter).

I am now on PC and sometimes for some unknown reason the wheel changes rotation and I just use the above buttons to return it to 900 degrees. It may only be in the G27 firmware but try it and see, you never know it might work :)

Interesting. I'm using my g27 shifter with my g29 so the shifter buttons don't work. I guess the equivalent of the start button on the g29 would be the circle or the cross, or perhaps the option button. Not able to try it right now, unfortunately.

  21. Flavus

    Flavus Racer

no, the circle/cross/square/triangle buttons are needed to define the degrees of rotation so it will need to be some other buttons on the wheel, can't help you there so just try different combinations to see if it works. Its a bit of a long shot but you never know.

G27 on PS4 the " X" button was the start button for the menus
