PS4 After patch version 1.5.4 No longer able to delete wheel profiles and new button mappings dont save

I just installed today's (4th September 2020) new patch for PS4 version of the game (1.5.4) which was released today. I read that there were changes to wheels so I went into the option and could see the changes (eg "steer scale"). My wheel works fine in game. Its' a 2 week old thrustmaster t300 with latest firmware (31.00). No issues with the wheel or how the wheel behaves in game.

The issue is that any changes I make to control bindings do not save even though I see the profile saved confirmation message after confirming the overwrite. I go back one menu and back into the options and controls again and the control binding that I just made is not saved. I can load them without any problems, all my old bindings are still ok.

If I make changes to the force feedback settings those settings are saved after overwriting the profile. so no probs there; Just that any new button mappings do not save.

Before you ask: This ALSO happens on any NEW wheel preset that I create since the new patch.
And I am no longer able to delete any wheel presets either . when confirming the delete (Are you sure, msg) the "yes" button is unresponsive on screen and beeps every time push X. If I select "No" option is just goes back to the controls screen.

This issue never existed prior to the new patch.

Any changes to key bindings do not save. Have you had any luck with a response or fix?

I have latest driver for Fanatec CSL Elite for PS4 (64-bit 328 driver). I'm also having a fair few blue screen crashes I did not have before, and worse, the wheel suddenly and often becomes "possessed" mid race. This manifests as the wheel rotating full lock with strong ffb and straining and bouncing against the stops. This is sometimes also exacerbated by the accelerator acting the same way, full on and then bouncing against the limiter. I'd never encountered these issues prior to latest update. I've found I have to turn the wheel off to halt this. In a stream I was part of last night I wasn't the only one with these problems (though not everyone had/was having same). Besides the obvious concern of potential damage done to my peripherals, it has trashed my SA score thus stalling and even reversing my progress and enjoyment - since I can not join lobbies demanding a higher Safety rating etc (not good considering the already limited state of Oceania lobbies: few and repetitive track rotation among them). I have checked the wheel functionality in other racing games and it seems to be ACC only. I've not tried my PC version yet.

Any help from devs or community would be much appreciated. Thanks.

 

Im experiencing the same problem. Seems like some controls (key bindings) are stuck and I cant ovewrite them. Problem exist for both wireless controller and my CSL Elite. FFB settings can still be changed and saved.

Any update if this will be fixed?

 

There was another update I downloaded last night. Changed my brake bias button assignment to ignition and start and now those buttons do both simultaneously! lol wtf?!

 

Haven't tried it yet but I guess its fixed in latest patch (1.7.0 Patch Notes 2021 Apr 27)
