1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

AI in multiplayer

    Hello,

    Now that we have really great AI behaviour in AC, is there any chance we will see AI included in multiplayer server options?

    In the past I would always pad the server out with a few AI in rfactor to keep things interesting with small fields. Also being in Australia we dont get a whole lot of traffic (that is <300 ping) on practice servers..

    Another thing, no one wants to join an empty server, if you can join have a practice/race with some AI, wont be long before some humans join.

    (I know this has been raised before, but not since the AI got the magic wand, apologies if so...)

    I'd say forget it.

    First, it was already suggested (multiple times actually), second keep in mind that MP servers would be much more expensive than they are right now.
    Of course you can set up your own machine and provide it via that but that's not how most of them are run, I think.
    Also if you do it on your own it has to provide much more computing power than currently, it's rather unlikely that you could run more than 1-2 servers on a regular desktop machine.
    (Currently they are running several MP servers on a single dedicated machine.)

    This most of all i think.
    But i must agree with OP that it would be cool if you could have a few on the empty server. I also liked and used that in rfactor.

    The Ai is super good now, really a shame we do not have it in multiplayer.
    When we meet with the boys 3-5 pieces. It would be super good to put AI on like in the good old days with rfactor (GTR2), it would also solve many problems with mandetory pit stop and so on as we can run on our own server as if it were single player. We are some who really want them on our private hosted server.
    So please bring them to multiplayer, it will do very well at the online race, just think about the fun of AI when you see Aris accept Stefano's challenge and try to race the all new AI in Assetto Corsa v1.14
    Everyone loves the new Ai so the same reaction will also come online and those who do not want Ai on their server just do not put them on or kick when there are enough players .
