1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Are Assetto Corsa videos limited to 18+ minutes?

I keep trying to ask the right question. Maybe this will do it.

I noticed a number of videos were starting a couple of laps in and not always running to conclusion. Normally I run a 10 lap session. The typical session runs 20-30 minutes although one on a short track is only about 15 minutes.

I loaded a couple and none were longer than 18:22. I didn't check them all, but is this the case? Is there some way to go longer?

I am trying to add the videos to a data analysis program I have and I would like to have 100% coverage. My preference is to increase the amount of video I can record but I can also shorten the sessions if I have to.

    What's the story?

From memory, isn't there a setting like replay quality? The higher you make the quality, the more memory the replay requires and the shorter it will be. You could experiment with reducing the replay quality.

I don't know but that's a start. I don't usually need a lot more time. Most sessions run about 25 minutes and a slight decrease in quality wouldn't be a factor. I'm mostly interested in being able to see what I was doing when I got that funny wiggle in the data.

Thanks, Wally. That worked perfectly. It turns out, although there is a slider, these are actually stepped. Mine was set to high. There is an ultra above that. Below are medium, low and very low. I tried medium and got 36 minutes. That's more than enough for any sessions I record.

I really appreciate the help. Now I can synch my videos with my Track Attack data.

And does this happen even when Replay Max Length is set to 1 hour 15 minutes?

OK. I don't know that one either. Where is it?

I just looked and found I can adjust the amount of space used for replays. It was set to 10Mb. I increased it and restored quality too high. I'll have to see what happens.

Is there a manual somewhere that explains all this stuff? I've been using the program for a couple of years but I know almost nothing about its internals.

If I remember correctly, it is around the same place as the Replay Quality setting. Just look for Replay Max Length.

    There are no manuals, unfortunately.

Not there. There is a maximum replay file size setting which may do the same thing. It was set at the minimum of 10Mb. I reset it to 40Mb and quality too high. I don't know if that will give me 70+ minutes or any more at all. I'll have to play with it.

Too bad about the manual. It is really time consuming to play with this stuff and not know what to expect until you try it.

My bad, I see it was posted in the old Assetto Corsa forum, not ACC.

Oh, I just checked Assetto Corsa and mine is set to 1GB replay size, which gave me a longest replay of 1 hour and 25 minutes. That should work.

I'm in business. I increased the memory from the minimum of 10Mb to 40Mb then ran at Spa until I ran out of gas. I got almost 30 minutes in a full replay. I m pretty sure this setting sets a cap but you can use less. Anyhow, it gives me more than I need.
