1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Assetto Corsa and Filming

    Hey All,

    Just a simple question/issue really. Loving the game and I had another issue previously where deleting the folder worked. I've now come across an issue with Xsplit in particular now Xsplit I've found with any other game is not PC intensive compared to alot and therefore works wonders, however I get frame lag spikes as seen in one of my videos (Not sure whether I can link here??), even when not recording and the software is open. Anyhow when comparing to FRAPS (Very intensive) I get less FPS but a perfectly smooth screen (No lag), and I'm wondering where it's a specific issue with Assetto Corsa and Xsplit communicating (As the software links upto the game/Dirext X feed) where as fraps just captures the screen.

    Any input would be appreciated as XSplit is something I want to use for livestreaming the sim in the future (Everything else works perfectly with it).

    Hmm never tried Xsplit, but i have some experience with OBS and Fraps (and old livestream.com app). A link to a video with lag would be useful (i'm sure posting it here won't be a problem, but if you have doubts drop me a pm)

    Since AC is kind of CPU intensive i would look at CPU occupancy (last two lines in "render stats" app) if it is not just processing power bottlenecked. If yes then you have to lower encoding quality (faster encoder settings, or lower resolution, or use other codec etc)
    Also have you tried recording with fullscreen on/off ? (checking fullscreen with vsync on/off would not hurt either).

    Cheers for the response, I was running that render stat app with the gameplay just to see if it told me anything so I'll upload a like for like video, and also check what the stats are actually saying as well! A bottleneck sounds very interesting, I did wonder whether it's due to XSplit actually linking to the graphics engine or something, and throwing it into 2 places is really causing the issue! But will check and see after work :)!
