1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

oh yeah I've had some great hardware failure related issues when my sim-rig has crapped out for some reason or another... not sure I'd want in game ones too! lol

Because it should be simulated in game like the other parameters that make racing racing, that is why on earth!
You know like tire wear, brake fade, brake overeating, if it happens irl, if we are simulating real racing, we should simulate it in game.
Like most everything else it can be optional, so players who want to be selective as not to be bothered with too much reality simulation can select all or just a little. If it does not trouble you too much that others players might want something you don’t, of course.:p

But real life sim rig failure directly correlates to real car failure. Things like brake fade and tyre wear have no correlation.

If you add artificial in game failures you aren’t simulating then, you would be doubling them

Failures that are caused by damage are ok but 100% random failures really make little sense in a sim.

Look how many complaints there are about random crashes and dosconnections in ACC. You can consider these as your random failure features ;) but devs and the majority of users would hope to eliminate such random race ending issues.

Last night I had a screen-stutter that came at spa driving in pit lane, when it came to I was in the wall. So pissed I immediately exited the game. I had a long day and was really looking forward to seeing if I could get within a few seconds of the aliens. I have the new Nvidia drivers. Anyway I'm waiting for the new update to see where it stands for optimization and the new 5-points:)

and to that, how many of us would restart the race if we have a mechanical failure? :) (at least a sprint race for sure)

To be realistic you shouldnt be able to drive again until the car is towed back to pit lane. The mechanics analyse the issues and take time to repair it.

You know get the full experiance like hardcore mode in NKP but even more hardcore. Maybe you should even need to pay the bill for repairs.:p

Unfortunately I also get this issue. It seems to still be related to when people join the server. A bit frustrating, have to say...

I mean we do not have a realistic damage model and you concern yourself with this?
    This.

I don't think towing a car to the pits is allowed in the Blancpain series.

Bit of an odd issue, tonight racing at Monza my FPS tanked to < 40 on occasions, when I normally get 80/90 or more if I leave uncapped. In this case I had an FPS cap set at 63.

So I increased the cap to 83, now when I raced it’s locked at 60, tried a MP night race at Brands locked at 60 then a day MP race at Spa, same locked at 60.

Any ideas what this behaviour could be, it’s just I haven’t changed any settings other than FPS cap? using Steam FPS to monitor btw.

Why not use in built fps app?
Also would suggest running a hardware graphing log... possibly some random external to ACC usage of resources causing the drop?

Hmm just always used steam one, I’ll try it. Not sure what a hardware graphing log is but good point, I’ll have a look at other processes running.

I used to to help troubleshoot some gfx crashing related issues with ACC... showed I had OC’d my gfx a bit much and was struggling

doesn’t seem to heavy on resources either when running it.

Any idea where the "Frame Limit" e.g. 63, 85 etc. value is stored in config files?

With Frame Limit OFF I'm still seeing 60fps with in game monitor, it's too stable. No other processes hogging any resource according to Process monitor.

VSync was causing 60 FPS cap, at least ain’t know now.
