1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Audio Filters

Please Kunos, add audio filter selections (similar to the way graphics filters are selectable).

I am tired on seeing people with poor audio equipment complaining that sounds are not as impressive as in "insert game here".

Basically a "filter" might be simple equalizer-setting that increases bass when person has poor audio equipment. It might not be useful for most people but maybe it would satisfy some people.

Personally, I think sounds are great as they are already!

Just use some material to muffle the sound from headphones. :)

I agree in part; some of the cars (new ones) sound really good and the environmental audio in replays is quite good IMO. If the older cars could have updated / improved samples or mods available, it would be nice.

I'll add bit more of explanation of what I had in mind exactly..

While effects like reverbation would be neat those need plenty of processing power too.

Bigger problem is that people have anything from low-grade TV/PC speakers/headphones to 5-point hi-fi systems and making sounds fit each one can be a problem. So having some presets/filters available to select a "profile" of sorts might be helpful for people. Let's face it, people might use different setup when driving late at night or during the day and might change what they are using. So that might improve customer experience perhaps? At least it might reduce flamewars in forums I think..

Different profiles to suit different audio systems is something other developers have used to maximize / optimize environmental effects & surround and it seems particularly important in regard to flyby's in replays where some sounds are missing due to speaker configurations or setup not being optimal.

I dont know where i sit with this one. I'm not sure its kunos responsibility to dial in your sound. There are so many user preferences & hardware configs out there. For those who want a bit more control I recommend Equalizer APO, its free and comes with a 15 or 31 band adjustment option + many other profile options.

It is not supposed to be ready-made configs for all hardware: just tunable settings and/or some preset configs so user can select what works for them.

There's always more advanced/complex solutions but very simple adjustment might be suitable for majority of cases already.

Think about this way: there's already adjustment for different sound volumes (engine, tyres etc.) for adjusting by user. The way audio filters would work is they would adjust the "tone" of sound instead of volume/intensity of sound.

Sure, programmable shader-like filters would be extremely cool but that might way beyond necessary already.
