1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

I agree that sounds have been grately improved from AC1. One thing to mention. Is there a possibility in future to tune reverb effect separately, which we can hear inside a car to tone it down a little bit?
    Thanks!

Agree! The sound is very cool now, but when using a headphones, there are slightly big amount of reverb effects here. When using a speakers- all looks (hearing) better! Devs, please, look to this moments :). Sound might to be very very art style tuned and mixed.

Sounds really good, hopefully I can enjoy it too. Some health problems and not a good performing PC. Keep up the good work Kunos!

Yeah, the sound is really putting you into the seat! Looking forward to the Bentley hoping that you managed to capture the mess of noise it produces in Limiter mode, was amazing at Spa! Also the AMG and the Porsche will be awesome, I guess. And the blow off of the Beemer...

Still I agree that the reverb zones are slightly too much in the cockpit. Close to the pit wall you get the normal reverb which is very nice and than suddenly the reverb zone engages and is way more intense.
I admit that I haven't done that in real life so I can 't compare out to anything, just my thoughts.

the new sounds are amazing... there are so many details in there now... it's great.. you hear all the parts making individual noises and so.. great..

also one thing I heard.. but don't know if it is that what I heard.. or if that was "placebo" :D .. some kind of air stuff going on.. wenn I braked hard for the dunlop turn... some noise almost like an airbrake or so.. like a "PFuiiischhhh" and my car suddenly moved the front end a bit to the left... while this sound going on... and it felt very aero like... like one side of the front splitter dipped into an air cushion or air displacement or so... I don't know if it was realy that... the sound and the feel, gave me pretty much that feeling at least...

if so.. wow.. amazing detail... if it was something else.. still amazing detail :D

Amazing sounds with even more so Amazing physics to back up said sounds, the Shift wobble in motion is PURE HEAVEN THANK YOU LUCA & ARIS

@AC Support luca Any chance you can give some details on the 5.1

How's it working with your motion rig (is it working yet?)? In R3E, I can feel the elastic nature of the drive-train flex in the D-box setup, even when shifting (if the revs are too far apart) but, there is no support for ACC yet.

Thanks very much guys, really appreciated.

Nick, there's not much to say about 5.1. The FMod project outputs 6 discrete channels, the usual 5 surround speakers plus the LFE (that seems to work properly this time :D). It automatically downmixes to stereo/2.1 for systems with this speakers configuration.
The next challenge is to understand how it works with VR, our aim is to make it work depending on your headset (head related positional sound) or external speakers (world related positional sound). Let's wait and see. :)

About the reverb zone, its volume is a bit lower in the upcoming hotfix (right now). Thanks for the feedback. :)

Will try the game tomorrow and put the sound to the test on my 5.1.

I will preemptively say that if the sounds from the cars behind me come from the front speakers - just like in AC and Pcars - then its back to the drawing board for you guys.

    Crossing fingers.

Oo trust me you will hear them behind you next to you and even reverb from a car next to you :)

cars from behing were always from behind also in AC .. maybe you need to check your speaker configuration? in the windows menu or in the soundcard menu .. sometimes windows screws this up after an update...

Yeah, quite sure a misconfiguration. AC had its drawbacks but audio from opponent cars was properly positional.

    Soundcard and windows are fine.

AC does use the rear-speakers, you can hear something from them, but the grunt of the sounds comes from the front speakers independently of where the sound is coming from in the game. As opposed to R3E where the cars from behind are only heard from the respective speakers.

Yes very much so, Positional worked 100% Perfect on AC, being able to Close my eyes, and pin point the AI's location Exactly was Awesome, But the engine was never properly represented in that 5.1 bubble, so For confirmation, that will be more refined in ACC ? As in you have more control of the exact position of said "effects or data" ?

@AC Support Would it be possible to add an option (ingame or config tweak) to increase the ambient (other cars really) sounds. I think being able to ear the other cars on other parts of the track much like irl would increase immersion a lot. I would literally watch every session's replay :). Currently every racing game overlooks that and you pretty much only ear your own car and it's a shame.
