automatic clutch

in the online events can not I activate the automatic clutch.
version of xbox one with thrustmastr TX.

Is it possible that you join a server where auto clutch is disabled?

 

NO .... because in the same room a friend of mine, with the same steering wheel and pedals, had automatic clutch and manual gearbox

 

I have the same wheel and disabled auto clutch. It doesn't make a difference.

I found some info one of the devs posted. It said disabling auto clutch while using only the paddles to change gear is faster than using auto clutch. I'm not actually sure what auto clutch does.

 

One of the devs posted this on Race Department

"We designed it in a way that the less assists you use the more the system forces you to drive realistically and the more realistically you drive, the faster the system let you go.

So:

• automatic gearbox + autoblip + auto cut + auto clutch -> easiest -> slower
• manual gearbox + paddles + autoclutch + autoblip - no autocut -> less easy -> a bit faster
• manual gearbox + paddles - no autoclutch - no autoblip -> hard -> fast
• manual H shifter -> manual clutch -> harder -> faster"

 

I'm OK ........ but do not understand why I do not do set!
and I repeat that in the same race others used automatic clutch.

It depends on the car you drive or? Some cars in reality like gt3 cars use no clutch while shifting or the cars with double clutch gearbox. So it makes no sense that I'm be faster with this cars when I use a h shifter. I'm asking because I use no wheel at the moment. In other sims I know you use only clutch when the real car use it too.
