1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Brake pedal too sensitive - G25

I'm trying to race the Lotus T125 but my brake pedal is so sensitive tht my tires lock on 20% out of 100% travel distance...
I've tried all the settings in game like the brake gamma and nothing helps.
Using the G25 and the only thing I can still try is the DXTweak program.

Noticed this issue with almost all the cars but this car is really undriveable under braking.

Anyone has a solution or advice please?

play with brake gamma in settings, if you had 2.4 try 1, and move your pedal while looking at the input where you assign the pedals, to see if it has a problem.

I already tried the brake gamma on 1, it doesn't help.

Whilst racing, bring up the Pedals App, see if the brake pedal is reacting as you expect, and not giving 100% brake pressure when only touching the pedal with your foot.

  6. Have you modded the brake spring?

I put in a GTeye and found that the calibration is reset every time I turn my computer off so when I switch it on I have to depress the brake pedal all the way so the game knows how much travel in the pedal there is. Otherwise it goes from no braking to 100% braking at the touch of the pedal.

It does this to me too and mine is stock pedals.

The only way I found to overcome this was by setting a 20% deadzone in the controls section. I use a dfgt with a squash ball under the brake, so at this setting the resistance of the rubber starts to be effective.

Controls seem to be optimised for load cells which imo is ignoring 90% of users out there and needs to be sorted out.

I posted this issue a few weeks ago and the response was to recalibrate the pedal again in the options. It's happened to me a couple of times since.

I just push the brake pedal all the way down on my first outing. After that its fine.

I think its just something with AC and i noticed the brake calibration thing early on. Nit sure if it still does it but I have made it a habit to fully depress all pedals before starting any session.

I have the gteye mod and this helps quite a lot over the stock springs to feel how much pressure your applying. I remember in rf2 back before i got the spring mod braking was so tricky as i really had no pedal feel at all. A spring mod is pretty cheap but makes the g25 brake pedal so much easier to use it would be quite silly not to do this if your fairly keen on your sim racing with these pedals.
