1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

it happened to me too, you can fix it by manually editing a file, now I can't remember which one unfortunately.

Edit: may be C:\Users\YOU\Documents\Assetto Corsa Competizione\Config\saveSettings.json

Career Mode is to complicated, dnf because I did not know about driver change and one time I was not able to change driver, very confusing. I use automatic pit limiter, so why does the whole pit stop not be automaticly? It would be much easier.
If I start a new Career, do I always need to do the Lambo School driving or can I skip that?

I think part of this might be down to the fact the AI is racing the same as the player, they aren't scripted so you won't get your results until they've completed their laps the same way you wouldn't skip an online session after you've set your time. It's a slight delay, but the upshot is very good and fair AI.

The lack of information is annoying, you do basically have to learn everything the hard way by ruining a race. Although that's been improved, driver swap is automatic now.

Part of the problem is ACC is a great sim, so you kind of need to do a lot of the things real drivers would do in preparation for the race. At the moment if the weather changes I'm using default tyres settings which don't suit me at all, and probably don't suit the conditions. That's the kind of thing you'd only learn through experience though. While you can certainly just drop into a race in ACC, it really requires some practice and prep to get the most out of your car on any particular track. I think that's a very big and complicated issue, maybe Kunos can come up with something but to me it's seems like a very difficult task. We basically kind of need a pit crew and a record of what we've done before so we can make educated setup changes.

I've had cars enter my pit box while I'm in it. So you probably don't have to wait for the other car to leave. It's really jarring in VR to have a car drive through yours.

Time is a big issue for me too, but I have moved towards longer races. GT cars are endurance cars, in a 10 minute race your car has only just got up to temperature (maybe), if your doing 10 minute races your basically not getting the chance to drive a GT car properly. I try to do at least 30 minutes now. If you want to improve your driving skill rapidly do hour long sessions every so often. Finishing one hour long race is as good as finishing 200 10 minute races.

I kind of gave up on the career too. I started it twice and picked the McLaren the second time, but I think that car is slow on some tracks I had a lot of difficult keeping up with the other cars on zolder. So I gave up. Might restart it again some day. It's not important though, you don't gain anything from doing it as far as I could tell. Online or a custom championship is probably a better idea.

    But definitely do long races.

It happened to me as well. Also there was a bug or something which prevented me of the driver swap so I had to restart the game to fix it. The career mode is such a disappointment I didn't even reach halfway through and I decided to abandon it, I'll never touch or finish it unless they fix the problems and improve it. Custom championships and race weekends are much better for a career experience.

My expectations were low to begin with, I didn't see how they could implement a career that would match industry expectations.

Even the fact they were limited to the two seasons of blancpain was a problem in my eyes. Career implies that your starting out as a new comer to racing and building up your reputation over the course of your "career", but the guys who race in Blancpain are seasoned veterans. They've done all the career building to get to the point they can do Blancpain, and that's probably even the case for the gentlemen drivers. The game was always going to be: You get to be [insert drivers name here] for a season. So career building doesn't suit the title to begin with.

To flesh out the career of the driver would mean stuff happening in between races, cut scenes, maybe have some targets in race to gain development points that you can spend to speed up your car (although I don't know how much development there is mid season, it's not like F1 and speeding up your car defeats the purpose of BOP), I just couldn't see that happening. Cut scenes are like little movies, making movies is not an easy thing to jump into and get right. Having a game outside of the racing was something I didn't expect to happen either. The career tab could just disappear and the game would be no worse for it.

I think a "career" isn't doable within the framework of Blancpain, not that they couldn't add the cars, but that it doesn't suit the theme of the game. If your not working your way up through feeder series to get to the top it's not really a career. So to me the career is a waste of time and they shouldn't sink anymore time or money into it. Now, I could be wrong, maybe they will come up with something fun, they've proved me wrong before. But I won't be upset if the career is abandoned.

Improving multiplayer would be much more beneficial, I think. Make the online your career, that's were you prove yourself, that's all that matters at the end of the day. I'd make the single player almost worthless when it comes to increasing ratings and have a hard limit you can't pass unless your racing real people.

With simple mechanics and some love you could create a career mode.
Start as a no name amateur driver in a sunday cup with the tropheo. Only if you reach there some goals (podiums, qualy position, fair driving etc.) you can make yourself a name and run some races as a gentleman driver in the real GT3. If you there reach some goals, you can become a pro (licence tests etc.) and be a member of a professional team. There you start your first sprint championship, if you there reach some goals...
Procede to endurance and so on.
Between the race weekends you can do some tests with your or other cars and so on.
Your final goal is to win the championship.

Show the career path on a fancy shiny career page from the very beginning and tag the reached career goals and what to achieve next.

PCars for example does it in a very cheap and simple but motivating way. You see at once what is the whole career path about, what you already achieved and what still to achieve.
Very simple but effective. No rocket science, not too much effort.

I agree with your point on the career, however I couldn't agree with you on multiplayer. I live in a country where not everybody has a stable internet, so racing real people isn't always fun not just for me, but for others too. I would keep it as it is, but maybe you could get or lose rating faster in multiplayer, although there are also wreckers, so that is a bt worrysome, but above 50 SA they are rare.

Hi Guys. I too am in a similar situation. I am novice/Rookie. I am the only player at the moment., and only play occasionally. I have got to the stage in Career mode where it is time to do 6 hr Endurance race. Earlier back I did create extra Drivers .
When I get to the Start the Race it only shows me as the driver. So how do I get the the other drivers on the list. Someone has said you have to do that on entry form, haven't seen that. At one stage I did down load, and printed all the information but have lost it. Would like to Download complete users Manual or something, explaining how what everything does, imagine it would be quite sizable, if it exists.
