Commend the ai....lets?

The bugger brake tested me into a corner. He can eat it.

 

I drive against the AI quite a bit and the recent improvements are fantastic compared to when i first got the game.

 

If anyone is really having trouble getting the AI to hit them, I suggest trying the 2-11 cup race at Imola. You can easily get to third place before the first chicane, but then the two cars ahead of you go into the braking in a way that you have to react to. You have to leave them room to go at it between the two of them. And once you react to something that the AI is doing in front of you (i.e. ease off the gas a little bit earlier than you would otherwise), then sure enough the AI behind you will hit you in the behind or in the back corner. That is the problem I have with the AI: it reacts to nothing, it's always you who has to adapt, avoid and/or allow. Watch out in front of you, watch out behind you.

Not that better AI is high up on my list. I'm into AC to enjoy the driving alone on the track. Still, I wouldn't mind being able to get through the career mode at some point.

 

I've not properly driven AC since v1.1 so seeing the improvements in V1.4 is great, the AI are certainly a lot better than back then and I had a blast at Brands in the Escort against them the other night.
Looking forward to future improvements in this area, whilst good now there is still work to be done

so now to 1.6 we see even better ai. Would love to see random ai spins , but this ai is really coming along.

can I just cheekily ask do ai get boosts down straights other than drafting?

 

As most of my racing is offline against the AI, it's great to see the AI is improving nicely. Still a way to go and get to say RFactor 2 quality but still pretty decent. Keep up the great work Kunos, great job so far and thanks for giving us AI to race.
