1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

[feature-request] steam in-home-streaming

    Hello everyone

Steam is currently testing its In-Home-Streaming-Feature. As a user of the Steam-Beta-Client I had the chance of using this feature and I am very amazed. Short wrapup: with this Steam-Version you can stream any game in your local network from one machine to another with less power.

Currently AC is able to start (tested with 3D-accelerated Launcher) but you can only see the background-image. I guess this is due to the fact that the launcher is implemented with HTML. This seems to be a problem for the streaming host-to capture the image but of course it is a great thing for customization (modding).
So I dont know if there is a way to make the current launcher Steam-streaming ready or if this is something that the modding community could provide...maybe in form of a custom launcher which is implemented with a classic 3d-executable.

The second point is the wheel, which is currently not forwarded from host or client. But the steam-guys are already working on it. As far as I know the interface for joysticks (and wheels?) is DirectInput. So maybe the AC-guys could speak with the steam developers to understand the streaming technology and decide if it would be possible for AC to be streamed using a wheel in the future. For example latency is more important in a racing game than in a RTS.

Why is streaming cool? I can only speak for myself but a decent GPU makes a lot of noise so this is nothing I want to have in my living room. And playing AC on a big TV is great but my HTPC (AMD Richland APU) struggles with more than Hotlapping. In a Race the FPS drops to 20 whereas my Desktop runs smooth at 50-60 which much higher graphics. So streaming the game would be a blast :)

does anyone know if there has been any progress on this issue. Just tired today and it still seems to be unsupported.

Currently my cockpit is setup in a room where I don't have a dedicated PC. The only thing preventing me from purchasing this game is the lack of in-home streaming support.

I'm sure most have a dedicated sim PC, but some of us would like to be able to have 1 PC that can run multiple content for each room of the house.

I'm shocked this is still not supported. Come on guys, it's been over 2 years.

For anyone else struggling with this, what I do is launch the game remotely with TightVNC, start racing, close TightVNC and then start in-home streaming. This works but it's a huge pain, and I still have to do controller setup physically at the host PC.
