1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Ffb damper and it's effects?

  1. My DD E90 330i on sport suspension and 18 wheels has similar or less forces on wheel (in terms of "dampening") than my actual FFB settings from sig ;) but I know that is easy to get used to something (in my case antyvir which was sandboxing Logitech profiler - I thought that when I add Lprofiler to exceptions it will cure it 100%, but it was not...)

For me with a DD wheel the gyro really simplifies all ffb settings. I just have all effects off and use ingame ffb with gyro that I have been experimenting with a little. The only thing needed per car is set ffb. It would be nice to know which cars are meant to have power steering and which dont as even with the Accuforce that has less torque then the OSW wheels I cant imagine needing anywhere near all of it for any car.

Jump into any car without needing to change anything but car specific force shows the AC system is well implemented. Unlike other games where you need a masters degree in FFB to pretty much code your own lol.

The soft lock however does seem to be a pretty crude implementation here, it would be nice if it somehow could enable the soft lock within the driver which works brilliantly in sim commander for the AF, allowing to set both level and damper for this acting as a simple solid hardware stop.

In AC soft lock seems like it needs some sort of damper as it just creates a nasty jolt at the limit for me or maybe a possiboe force setting with the soft lock. For regular cars 900+ its fine but in low lock race cars that are 360 to 400 degrees I just manually set lock for the wheel.

Interesting, I've not noticed that but, I guess I'm not hitting full lock very often. It sounds like I need to push harder. :)

I only hit full lock trying to save it and once you counter steer and hit lock, you know your out of hope and its done. :D

I would like soft lock for single seat cars that have minimal steering lock of 400° or so.
