Flag-to-flag racing community - f1 league

TL;DR: We’re a racing community hosting our first Assetto Corsa Formula 1 racing league. Come join us at flag-to-flag.com.

Who are we?

Flag-to-Flag is a modestly sized racing community that has focused on one thing since its inception in 2012 - offering competitive, fair and fun racing to an English-speaking European audience.

In the past we’ve organised leagues for Codemasters’ F1 titles, with a dozen seasons and 200 races under our belts. But after several disappointing iterations, our stronger drivers have found a new home playing more challenging sims like Assetto Corsa and we’re stepping up to the plate to meet the demand.

What’s the league setup?

To reignite our more serious side we’ve developed a 2015 F1 car which, after much playtesting offers a challenging and rewarding racing experience. We have a variety of F1 circuits lined up, and believe we have a strong platform to run a fun, competitive league.

We have our own private Assetto Corsa and TeamSpeak servers running 24/7 in Europe. We also have in place a tried and tested stewarding system lead by experienced FtF members for settling any race incidents.

The ACF1 league rules are as follows:

• 15 rounds (best 12 results to count), commencing on the 18th July.
• Weekly races at 8pm UK time on Saturdays, with several mid-season breaks
• 50% F1 race length, 20 minutes qualifying
• ABS & TC banned, stability assist allowed
• TeamSpeak attendance mandatory.

We have about 20 committed drivers, but more signups are welcome since some drivers are likely to miss a few races.

If you think this sounds too hardcore, don't worry. We have drivers of a wide range of abilities, many of whom are new to the game, so you're sure to find someone matching your pace to race against.

How should I join?

Our website (flag-to-flag.com) will be kept up to date with more information incoming. The best way to get involved is to sign up there, and add one of the league organisers on Steam - either Rhobium or SirRobSmith will be happy to talk to you. The final major update to our league car is now complete, and we've made some great improvements over publicly available F1 mods. Why not try out what our members have called "The best F1 car in Assetto Corsa I've ever driven"! The details and download link are on our homepage at flag-to-flag.com.

We also have news on the league format. We plan to race on Saturday evenings, and will begin with a test race on 11th July before the start of the season proper at Silverstone on 18th July. The full calendar will be confirmed soon on our website.

As usual we also have another shakedown event coming up this weekend, at Catalunya and Spa. You can also find some footage of previous races in the first post.

I was looking at getting the modded car and app packages to try out before your race on the 11th, but it's not letting me DL either. It wants me to log into Steam; I have but still no dice. Do I have to log into/be a member of the league to get the files?
