1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Fraps and other recording softwares

    I've tried fraps but everytime I record, it stops after 10 seconds.

    So I hooked up my playstation eye to record myself driving, and using openbroadcast to overlay that with the in game recording.

    The problem with it is i can't seem to get the playback resolution correct.

    So what are you guys using that works?

    I use DxTory for all DirectX games.
    It kicks FRAPS out of the sky with it's feature list.

    I use Shadowplay and then compress the video in Sony Vegas, so youtube won't do a crappy compression. See results here:

    I have both Fraps and Dxtory but couldn't really see any difference in quality between the two. Do you have any particular settings that you would suggest I use in Dxtory?

    Pretty much shadowplay is the way to go unless you want more fidelity with the options and you have couple of 100 spare GB's on your PC, then you can use Dxtory it is one of the best, if you can afford to spend 300GB's in an hour. Also yeah Shadowplay records 60FPS without any performance decrease. Dxtory has minimal decrease in performance maybe 1-3 FPS, can also do 60FPS, but then again your HDD is full in a short time. :D Also to mention you will need to have fast enough HDD.

    60FPS recorded with Shadowplay, Game sounds glitched out.

    Hm, I've set it up like that and every time I stop recording and exit the sim the AC Launcher crashes.
    Is it just me, any ideas?:(

    btw. has anybody read Mogonauts sig? If so, you won't suggest Shadowplay. :p

    But for Nvidia-users it's a good option imho.

    Tried Afterburner but game lag when i'm recording (tried with different games), the only software work fine for me is GVR (work really well with my R9 290) but with this i can't record AC because GVR recognize the launcher but not the simulation :(

    Yeah I did not know Dxtory haha (still don't actually) but if file size is way bigger in DX than it's not worth it :p. I'll stick to shadowplay
