1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic I have the impression FFB and Handling is worse after 1.09 - Can it be?

Would be great to be able to discuss this directly with the PC crowd.

Min force isn't just for low end wheels surely?

I have never tried it myself but doesnt the wheel lose weight when you get understeer with that turned on? Try to disable it.

Depends on what is considered low/mid/high. If mid end wheels are a fanatec v2 wheelbase its only low end. On mine t300 I use 6% or something like that.

Ok, that makes perfect sense. Anyway, I'm glad to know this feature would help solve the present FFB deficit I've been feeling on my G920.

Actually I've tried combinations without this effect as well but, to me, it always seems to get a little 'emptier'. My impression is that the overall FFB gets a little heavier when understeer is on. I still have been trying new effect combos, but even when they initially seem to be ok, I soon find out they're not as good as I would have it. I'm starting to think Min Force will in fact be the key to solve this problem, hopefully.

True. Interesting to see you use 6% min force on the t300rs. I have the same on PS4 and my impression is that if min force was an option I would definitely add some.

Yeah, probably you´d want some on the T300. The torque is just under a T500, which is about 4.5Nm, but the T300 has a smoother feel. The fanatec csw v2 is 7+Nm something, and you need insta torque to get those low ffb movements out. Or, you amp up the minimum ffb, but keep it below oscillation.

It occurs to me now that I saw, a few weeks back on this forum, Stefano Casillo write a post where he said he uses a G27 in his day-to-day activities at work, at full 100% FFB. So probably the guys at Kunos must be aware of the shortcomings of low-end wheels and might have skipped the implementation of Min Force on console only for some slip of attention, so to speak. It's not possible that, knowing by experience what a wheel is like, they would have intentionally omitted an essential feature for a platform where most of the users have this type of equipment. I want to believe this feature will be coming in the next update.

The wheel is ligher after 1-09 and still with 1.10 patch than was on corners on feeling the tiers force on ps4. Using a T150 wheel.

He also said he has nothing to do with the console version, so maybe he never really tried it :-D

This is a way how to find out how much minforce to use:
"Take the xbow down the back straight at magione, adjust min force until you get some buzz while going straight."

Yeah I had seen this posted somewhere before. I'd be over the moon to be able to actually try it so hopefully in a future patch it will come. After more laps I'm sure it is not actually a lack of FFB in the centre because bumps, curbs, grip change are all communicated at centre just fine. Add this to the fact that with no lateral load on the tyres when going straight there is barely a force from the tyres to be sent to the wheel anyway so this is fine.

The problem at the moment is the wheel is far too light for far too long either side of centre until lateral load is strong enough for the wheel to register the force from the tyres. Again, this is fine in principal but we need to be able to raise the minimum level of force that is sent to the wheel so that the starting point is immediate. [IMG]
We are feeling the flat bit of this graph. We need the sim to send the wheel (in this case) 13% force minimum at all times.

    Thanks for that.

So basically the soonest your wheel is capable of "hearing" what the sim sends is anything above 8% and that would be with the gain turned right up to 100%?

And with the gain turned down to 60% you would have to wait till the sim sent above 16% to feel anything?

You would then set min force accordingly to whatever overall gain preference you have?

Have anyone tried to connect the wheel to PC and seen if the settings in the control panel follows the wheel to your console afterwards?

was a lot of the for such a short post

I couldn't follow you here. Which settings should I check on a PC control panel?

Connecting to a PC works for the firmware updates but as for adjusting settings in the wheel profiler, it doesn't save to the wheel and so has no effect once plugged in to Xbox/PS4.

I've just checked that and it's as you say. I may have missed @kofotsjanne's point, but even in the wheel settings (control panel) there are only calibration options, apparently nothing related to FFB.

If it worked to use settings from control panel you could have tried to add a little bit of dampening to the wheel. But apparently that doesnt work. :(
