1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

The biggest number of copies sold was with EA price, or EA-50% price. Is way different then selling 200k copies at 45€ then a mix of EA price, EA sales, and Release price.

its pretty impressive anyway how many that have bought AC. Kunos is a 13 (?) man team that have managed what they have done. A lot of help from the community since people where here already since the early access, but still. Its pretty damn impressive numbers. I have a feeling that the sales will become bigger when they release some lambos, in the same way as dreampack 1.

No need to become personally offensive against the team.

So think we - but important only is whether their sales numbers cover their costs, whatever these may be.

For a slowly growing number of people the answer to the question of whether to buy the Lambo pack or not, may depend on the general state of the whole AC package then (Race events, AI...). Me personally, I see little reason in why to buy more cars if they go around the track the way the currently do, even more so since I have no special interest in Lambos myself. What would hook me more, is tracks that I am interested in. The Lambo license is rumoured to have been quite expensive, making the deal a gamble they dared to play. I will believe that it pays off when I see that it pays off. Massive improvements of the other package features, namely race presentation and AI, imo will have a decisive word on the success or failure of the Lambo license. Right now, without the Lambos packed together with some interesting track and AC being what it currently is, I would NOT buy it nor any other pure-car-pack. And when they are packed together with tracks, it would depend on the tracks. Welcome to the post-Early Access, post-dreampack world. ;)

I'm actually really surprised that 13% of sales comes from the UK, our "tiny" nation...

It seems everyone here bought a copy :D

    this looks pretty acurate,
cities skylines shows 700k owners(before eastern),
when they announces some time ago they had reached 500k and it is still in the top 3 sellers list.

    ac is indeed doing good,
    as kunos has stated.
but its not like they can all drive ferrari now ;)

dont forget 30% steam cut, lower prices for weaker regions, steam sales(up to 50% at one point), taxes and
licensing fees and most of all at least 400k yearly employment cost(my estimation) of the team.

It's always surprising how big of a population Britain has, but it's always been a relatively high number. I'm always then further shocked when I hear the population of other countries that are bigger land masses than Britain but often have smaller populations. Russia only has a population of 140 million, for some reason I always assumed there was more of them.

I think the 60K of people regularly playing the game is a good number.

Stalin and Hitler both killed around 20 million Russians each. They both had a large effect on future population density.

.... hiring a specialist....was no offense, but kunos is really unexperienced in this area. so nothing wrong here, that's what companies simply do.

Well I've managed to persuade 3 others to buy the game, so yes, think that's got the UK covered

I gave the same recommendation one or two weeks ago: to hire a known expert for race AI programming, if some vbeteran is available on the market currently. But I did not dump the team with the way I worded it, but made it clear I meant it not offensively, but constructively. That university remark you made was unneeded and quite derogatory.

Probably Stefano knows how to write the code for A.I, but maybe he's just still learning some A.I cars behavior aspects. Like how to better attack, defend, trick the opponents, not fall for some tricks, and at the same time respect the fastest way around the track and the opponents behavior on the track. The A.I cars crawling behind a slow moving one could just be a bug or some incorrect implementation, like it exists in all type of software.

yeah, kunos's silence could be anything...no time for AI...... no knowledge........ working on it......looking for someone to code the AI...... or ......

    AS DESIGNED

    :D:rolleyes:
