1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

brake earlier, use some throttle on the apex to help steer the car, easy on the throttle on the exit and watch for turbo lag and torque peak over 5.500 rpm

turbo lag? torque peak? Do I have to be an engineer to play? :(

No, but if you're going to get the most out of a simulator then a basic understanding of this stuff certainly helps.

    Wikipedia/Google is your friend :)

"Turbocharger lag ("turbo lag") is the time required to change power output in response to a throttle change, noticed as a hesitation or slowed throttle response when accelerating as compared to a naturally aspirated engine."

The best example of turbo lag in AC is the F40. You'll notice when you hit the throttle there quite a delay before you get the surge of power.

In laymans terms : To really master that car you have to be 'predict' when the big boost of power will come in. When exiting corners you need to be pushing the accelerator before you actually want the power to kick in.

The best of those clever modern hybrid engines actually use the electric power to fill in the gap between pressing the throttle and the turbo kicking in so as to avoid the turbo lag completely.

I find driving it with default setup is pretty good with both tyres. Can get within 1.5sec of the fastest laps using default set and tg tyres about 7 sec slower with regular tyres.

With the regular tyres you need to be much more carefull with the loud pedal but i find the active aero almost work like stability control so its very stable. Letting me get away with very late braking coming into the turn at all sorts of angles lol.

Setup wise you may want to lower pressures a little if you arent generating enough heat and maybe more negative camber on the front. Also more toe in if you want it to turn in a little better but it really wont make it much easier to drive maybe just a fraction quicker.

That's a really good explanation. Thank you!

Anyone struggling with the car should use the incar tc, thats why its there as without not many regular drivers will be able to keep it on the black stuff safely.

  11. Any ideas what the optimum temps are for the TG tyres?
