Intake restrictor

Love the ballast implementation in 1.2 so far, but in order to allow some cars to race each other, it would also be nice to simply be able to restrict the power output of them.

Aside from its use on race cars, it's maybe even more help to road cars, which you often don't want to become even heavier.

Is this easy to implement/planned?

 

would help a lot to balance the cars. either this or being able to limit tyres for each car rather than every car in a multicar server would help balance. best would be both! they should put the tyre thing into the entry list and add this feature while they are at it!

I believe there was talk of weight ballast which would work in a similar way, however I've not heard a word about it recently.

 

Yep, weight ballast already works in multiplayer, but as I stated in the original post, it's better to have intake restrictors available when you don't make already heavy production cars even heavier. Unless the weight ballast system you're talking about would also mean weight reduction?

..and while you're at it, please give us a feature to lock turbo boost in the entry list as well
