1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Is the G29 an ok wheel to make a start in sim-racing (multi-platform)?

    Some time ago I asked you all what was the best budget steering wheel I could buy.. interesting results. unfortunately I never came around on buying one.

    Here's the thing, I actually need a proper start in Sim-Racing now and since it's currently on number one on my priority list, it'll be definitely bought this time. (in the upcoming ~2 months)

    Since I race on the PS4, PS3 and PC I want to be able to race on all of those platforms, the G29 seems a viable option. It sucks that Logitech put the gear stick as a separate accessories.

    It is the cheapest when it comes to the steering wheel set + gear stick. What do you guys think? (I am aware of most issues)

    It is the best all-around combo for its price, if you look around for an offer, no doubt about it. For its money, you can't go wrong. Unless you find an amazing offer from Fanatec.

    I also need a new wheel for this summer and I'm thinking if G29 or T150 Pro. Anyone knows what would be better? Both seem on the same price, come without shifter but is cheaper to get the shifter add-on for the logitech wheel than for the thrustmaster, or does TS have a cheap shifter as well? The thing though is that for ACC I won't need a shifter at all, only the paddles for GT3 cars, only when I play AC. But in terms of clamping to the table, ffb, performance, noise, heat, durability, pedals, g29 or t150 pro?

    I picked up the G920 a year ago for 150 uk pounds. I chose it over the T150 for its durability, low heat. Nice leather as well. 3 pedal base and overall no complaints at that price point.

    If you start drifting towards the 300 pound mark then I think the T300. I've started wondering about upgrading to that or the ts-pc racer

    A G29 is quite good for a start and easy to resell if you want to upgrade or if you stop simracing for any reason.

    T3pa pedal set is supposed to be pretty good I think. Currently 84 pounds on Amazon uk just for those. With the pro set at 189. That seems like a good combo/price. Pretty sure it was only 2 pedals when I was looking. Tough choices. Much trawling of forums for opinions needed :D

    G29 is a very good start wheel. I ran a G25 for years and it was great. Only thing that could beat it for value is a Black Friday sale from Fanatec on the CSL kit but that’s a while away
