Justrace Alpha is now Online

After many months of hard work, dedication, deep analysis and late night coding and development, Tobi and myself are finally ready to present to you https://www.justrace.net and opened the doors for ALPHA Testing.

So what is Justrace? It offers many things but mainly it's a web portal and racing tools where online racers can get and race together and have fun! Here is a short list of things we offer:

1. Check the racing schedules for Assetto Corsa....join or reserve a spot for one of them. That is correct. You can create your own server (as shown on the right User Created Session)!



2. So, if you don't like any racing combos, create and schedule your own where others can join you



3. We save and upload all Justrace results. And not just that, we also gather telemetry information and display it to you in different formats

4. Dashboard which shows your general statistics, details race results and statistics and telemetry graphs







5. We also generate Ratings and Leaderboards for you to check and compare lap times





6. Customized profile where you set your language and time zone!



7. You will also get free tools to chat, share setups and auto upload telemetry. We also have a web dashboard where you can build your customized race widgets and dashboards.



The client tool where user can chat, share setups are record/upload telemetry to server.



8. A forum where you can follow our progress, get help/support and share your racing journey with your fellow drivers

It is very important to know that this is just the beginning of a much larger and complete system. Tobi and I have very limited time to work in our spare time, so please bear with us until we fix and add all the important stuff. We are releasing this alpha hoping that this new concept can be tested very well and be ready for the open world to enjoy.

Also please note: We have found a few limitations and missing data in the API provided by the games provider. Unfortunately, lots of data is missing in the Assetto Corsa Shared Memory API. Myself and others have begged Kunos to add more info to the shared API, so hopefully they will one day! Until then we cannot do much about it.

Thus we are going to rely on you to help us test this new system and report to us any issues/errors on our forum so that we can fix and improve them immediately. We are also very interested in your opinion, so please let us know of any suggestions or improvements that come to your mind. We want to build this around you!

Without you, this system will not work. We want to make sure that this will make your online racing experience much much better, so the more we improve it, the more drivers we have and the more fun! What you see now are just the basic features, but we want to take all this to a much higher level, intelligent stuff which will make online racing unique. For example, we will be auto starting server combos based on the usage of tracks and cars so that the most popular combos are available. We will eventually add licences, driver classes, sessions grouped by drivers having the same experience and much more!

Please note that Tobi and I are investing a lot in this..that being time and money. Apart from that, time is priceless, we rented a few servers to host our web applications, bought a forum software and developed tools. Thus, this system will need some way to be maintained. That is why we will have the FREE and PRO version. Basically, in the Alpha and Beta stages, everything will be FREE and available to everyone. But once we go live, we will lock the PRO functionality. What does this mean? It means that you will still be part of the community, enjoy our free tools, join our servers and do many other things. But certain things will become locked and can only be used by users who have a PRO subscription. One thing that will for example be PRO is telemetry and its analysts. Another one would be to create your own server session.

This is all great news. I think it shows Kunos were right to leave ratings to the community. There's so much development going on it's likely the community will come up with something even better. It also leaves opportunity for other developers to turn AC into an industry standard.

Registered and signed in but it seems all the scheduled races are empty . Looks good though so happy to see how this grows and develops.

Not yet, hopefully Kunos will offer an API so that we can do that.

 

Thanks, but if everyone reasons like you, then all servers will remain empty. Did you yourself register to a session? Guess not. People wait for others to join and they never initiate something themselves

And remember that you can also create your own session...
