I don't think the steer ratio is not similar to the speed sensitive steering setting. BTW I've never use the second one. The steer ratio are different from car to car. So you can adjust the right one ingame.
Hope I understand this right...

 

steer ratio is not speed sensitivity .. it is just ratio between steering lock and steering wheel rotation (how much much degree you have to turn steering wheel to turn 1 degree in steering .. useful thingy ) .. if implemented it would make sense to have it garage setup menu .. but I don`t wanna play game designer, could be external utlility launched on dedicated server if LK decides

 

This might be totally wrong, but once the wheel and pedals are setup why would you want to change them. The only change I make after messing with the control system is to the gain, thanks to Ears for his ratio tweak and others for the hints on ini files and then me playing with the Logitech Profiler till I had it spot on.

Then again you might be using a controller/keyboard and mouse, as such all that reading/typing was a waste of yours and my time.

I have a Thomas Superwheel and pedals. I find that different cars need different settings for the speed sensitive steering parameter. Some need as low as .03, and others need as high as .14. It would be useful to be able to change that within a session, like we can now change audio level.

I know I shouldn't but I have to know, why do you want speed sensitivity on a wheel?

 

In the early Acces (i think it was 2-3 Years ago) it was possible to change the Fuel consumption for offline races. From x1 to x2 and x3. Also there was possible to change the Tyre consumption. Why is this gone? It makes singleplayer races much better so you can make 10-15 rounds race drive and you must stop for 1 or 2 times.

Please bring it back!

Abut VR, I'm not that desperate to have the full menu support, just that it runs with the latest SDK (I'd be happy if I don't have to win+shift every time display image on the correct device .

 

It makes a huge difference in the response to steering inputs. Try it; you'll see.

 

I know about the difference of this settings.
I don't like it. Of course its my personal taste but I hate settings like this. It makes driving at highspeed to a gamble and I think its far away of a real car...

 

So many people have trouble grasping software and game development decision making process..

It is like watching game of basketball where blame is on court-keeper if players miss the basket..

 

I find that for any car, there's a setting that works well. Sometimes when I go to a different car, the steering is either too responsive or not responsive enough, so I have to set it for that car; when I do, it's fine.

 

It's a 270 degree wheel, they don't work very well otherwise.

what so you have to run to the car or you just start on the edge or rolling start, the le mans stuff has changed a lot due to safety regulations. Stefano commented on how rolling starts will help the ai get up to pace way quicker then standing starts so its likely on "THE LIST!!!" of stuff to implement.
