1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

More HDR Options

    It would be preferable if KUNOS would redesign on how the HDR options are handled to be enabled/disabled selectively. Cause turning the HDR off will completely remove the following significant effects like the headlight/brakelight glows, ambient occlusion, Depth of Field, Motion Blur, Color Saturation, FXAA, etc.

    Would be nice to see these HDR effects to have their own options before reaching v1.0. So this way some AC gamers will have their Assetto Corsa experience optimized while keeping the visual projection as optimal as how their computer rigs could handle it.

    I love how v0.6 up to v0.6.2 turned out, by optimizing the game engine further even with no new car/track contents present, tis really a good job from KUNOS.

    Hope this one will be heard so we could appreciate the game even more.

    really? AO is baked into cars, how the HDR off remove that ? - have to check it out :)

    Btw. without HDR the game looks bland/boring .. why would you turn it off ? performance?

    Because the lightning is better without hdr in my opinion. When I tried HDR+different settings it's always too shiny. And yes performance is on my pc not the best too.

    Not all AOs are baked into models - I don't know about AC but some games are like that. My statement about how HDRs is approached in generally speaking...

    EDIT: Let me rephrase that - yes as far as I remember when a friend mentioned it (like you said just now) AOs are there baked, but some games' option have the ability to limit this or even completely turning it off to increase performance and let the lighting effects present do their own tricks... or what-so-ever. My apologies if I could not explain this more thoroughly though.

    We all have different projection when it comes to vision - and not all HDR effects help or pleases to someone's eyes. Like for an example - the bloom effect, the ability to even decrease or even completely turn it off will help reduce any signs of Asthenopia (aka Eye Strain).

    And yes - speaking of performance-wise - it will help a lot. I'm also speaking in general here - not just me.

    This can already be done by tweaking the hdr.ini.
    Some interesting settings about the hdr can be found at lighting.ini.

    My favorites so far are these:
    hdr.ini
    Code:
    HIGH_PASS_LEVEL=0.25
    lighting.ini
    Code:
    [HDR]
    MIN_EXPOSURE=0.34
    MAX_EXPOSURE=0.55
    I'm sure that some of these settings will be available at the GUI sooner or later.

    @Akis Kev: Yes I'm fully aware of those - as I've given them as only an example. If you have read my first message on this thread... you'll see what I meant to say.

  9. agreed, don`t want to miss additional FXAA just because HDR is turned off!
