1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

My car is too slow

    Hello everyone :)

    I'm having a problem with AI in career mode: in straights I'm too slow while the AI is too fast. For example if I use a Bmw Z4 and the AI uses the same car the AI has too much acceleration so I can't compete with him.

    Sorry for my bad English, I hope you understand my problem:)

    Are you sure they aren't going faster than you through the previous corner (and on the gas earlier)? That's a huge part of racing and the likely reason why they seem to be accelerating faster than you on the straights.

    Also, check your fuel at the beginning of the race in setup. I had the same problem, but I reduced the fuel, and was able to launch faster than the AI.

    I'm more fast than AI in the corners, but on the straights they have more acceleration than me so they overtake me fast

    I will try this tomorrow, but I think that it will not work because compared to AI I lose many meters so maybe it can't be only a fuel problem

    Being faster in the corners is not the same as carrying more speed through the corners. All things being equal, the AI do not have faster cars with better acceleration, they're just driving with more precision.

    I carry more speed through the corners, in fact at the end of the corner I'm more fast than AI, but then on the straight they overtake me because I can't accelerate

    Maybe because of the AI exploiting slipstream on the straights?

    Possible, but really the only straights long enough to make use of slipstream on default where the AI could catch up and fully pass is Nords, and maybe Barcelona.

    I think you need more practice to mantain a good speed on corners ..
    Try to return the steering wheel straight as soon as possible and push on gas pedal without hurry to avoid wheels slip.
    Try to handle engine output to maximize car speed.
    Stay in the slipstream of vehicles ahead of you.

    This is the bigger difference from others racing games, AC need more drive precision and driving skill to make good laps (and this is, after some practice, the funny thing).

    In any case, the early series seemed to me the most difficult, after that, is a downhill (now I have to beat the n6 series)

    I think something you are doing is compromising your corner exit speed.
    It's not that important how fast you enter a corner, it's all about being on the throttle again as soon as possible to make the best exit you can. Right after clipping the apex you should be able to accelerate again.

    Use manual gear box. By shifting earlier you will be faster. Automatic gears are not optimal.

    I had an issue like this when I was playing The Crew. I'm not sure it's related, but maybe worth a shot? I raised tickets against the game on the official ubisoft site, posted on forums, couldn't figure out why on earth i was getting left for dust like you do in your vid.

    Turns out, it was my controller. There was something about my R2 button that, probably due to years of use, prohibited it from registering a full trigger press. I figured this out by using remote play via my Vita and accelarating with the R1 button, the difference was day and night. I had to buy a new controller.

    If you have a device that you can remote play with, maybe Vita or Xperia, or if you can re-map the buttons so R1 is accelerate for a test, or try another controller, this might help? I mean it's probably a long shot but thought I'd throw it out there.

    Yes I would say the same, I had a similar problem playing Forza Apex on the PC with my Xbox controller, try changing the button config just to check.

    I'm noticing this to....playing on easy tonight, racing escorts at imola, being killed on the straights even though I am gaining on the car in front as I exit the corner with my foot hard down...so I know they are not carrying more speed or getting on the gas earlier...it feels like my throttle is not correctly calibrated (tpa pedals) but of course there is no way to check this.....
