1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

New to ACC from iRacing... Data & Setup ?

    Hi all,

I'v been looking at ACC for a while but was hesitant to put the time in and share it with iRacing... With the latest update I really want to give it a shot but it seems to be very confusing at times. Few questions I was hoping to find answers to to get more comfortable quickly:

    1) What is the best way to start online racing with matchmaking etc?

With a different interface and structure it's just a bit confusing with all different options (career, single player, matchmaking online etc.) What would be the best route to take to focus on competitive online racing?
From the first look of it ACC lacks some of the structure that iRacing has with championships, ratings etc.
Is it pretty much open lobbys and random races for the most part?

    2) Setup and motec data sources

Is there a go to source for setups and data files from fast drivers on ACC? if there is something similar to VRS of iRacing it would be great to know, I can't seem to find anything so far.

Appreciate any advice, looking forward to be giving ACC a go

Hi Vasyan and welcome to the ACC forum!
For the multiplayer if you are looking for the cleanest experience with scheduled races I suggest to race quick join or by server browsing and look for a server that has an SA requirement that is close to what you have untill you have 70+ SA rating. At that point just join competition servers (you can find more info here https://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/1-2-competition-server-changes.61085/). If you struggle to raise your SA with the quick join or you get frustrated with people that drive unsafe you can rise your SA driving against the AI, this method is more consistent but slower in my opinion.
For setups I don't know where you could find pre made setups and I don't think is a good idea to use a setup that someone else did, I suggest to load the aggressive one and work from there. You can find great guides online on how to set up your car but if you want something ACC specific I suggest to look for @Aristotelis YouTube channel.
Cheers and see you on the race track.

Side note: link your forum profile with your steam account in order to use the forum properly, look in the FAQ how to do that

If you already have reasonable pace and control of a GT3 car then the default aggressive setup is a good place to start. There really isn’t that much time in a setup as some people seem to believe. Just set tyre pressure after doing some initial laps and focus on driving.

Once you get your SA up to a decent level have a look at joining some CP races if you can, they are scheduled daily.

Doing the special events is also good as it will introduce you to combos and conditions you may not have otherwise tried and also give you a fair idea where you sit on outright pace with the leaderboards

  6. join a community with clean and ppl so it can help you to farm SA and then join competition servers. Aggressive setups are very fast

  7. it's gonna take take time andante a lot of effort, don't give up.
