1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    and based on history of football we know who is better ;) but Kunos helping Reiza to move from ISI to some next better version of AC engine would be profit for all .. keeping the best from AC (licences and track scanning technology, apps) :)
    (more likely we will see Reiza go for rFacor2 engine and Kunos moving to AC2 as they realize they cannot keep up with current engine) .

    But I kind of like this diversity in sims we have at this moment .. good days to be simracer ... wish I was 10 years younger :)

    Probably this is also the reason why in GSCE you can actually "feel" the car driving on the tarmac like a real car through the FFB and not floating on it like unfortunately right now in AC. I wish Kunos could buy the license for the tire model and implement it in AC. Only then it might become the perfect sim.

    With what car/tyre compound, ambient temp and which surface grip you're experiencing that?

    Btw, try max_frame_latency 1 if you haven't yet, in graphics.ini from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\system\cfg Then drive again. If you had it at 1, put to 0 to test and see how it feels.

    For about 10 years now, but GSCE is much better than rf1 and it is what rf1 should have been if ISI would have continued updating and improving it.

    But you should know that by now, right?...

    Much better in exactly what? New shaders... and? GSC is good because of the people behind it, not the engine or some "technological advancement". Take the cart98 mod, can you point especifically where it differs (and its better) from gsc to rf1?

    Videos like this from Niels are a very good marketing tool, people don´t understand 0.001% of whats there, but hey it looks complicated, so must be good! DK did the same in the early iracing days when it was the "pinacle" while rf1 was very, very oldgen. They came full circle now.

    Why rf1/gsc´s tire model was put aside by every new sim since then?

    If you cannot see the improvement in GSCE over rf1 then I rest my case...have you even tried GSCE???...it feels more realistic than rf2 also...drive the Camaro SS first at Goiania and then talk!...That's the best "marketing tool" for GSCE and it worked for me and many other people that "don't understand"...and no, it's not good because its "complicated"...its good because its simple and because driving in it feels more "real" than in any other sim out there...

    I read (sorry I don't remember source) they tweaked and improved game engine physics too, game is "based" on rfactor1 engine but now is a sort of Frankenstein engine due the part of codes and files they add/tweaked....

    Yes and no ... It is far from being big mod on rf engine .. So yes superb content makes big difference but squeezing everything out of that engine and adding new features to engine makes it comparable to current gen sims and differentiate it from rf

    I did try GSC, earlier than most, video from my teammate (you can see Simioni on the photos)

    Reiza its like a fine restaurant, the food/ingredients are the same in any restaurant, its the chef who makes the difference.

    PS: the corvette mod is fantastic...probably the best mod ever made for rf1...no wonder ISI bought it and implemented it in rf2.
