Generic PC - Leaving Multiplayer Server shuts down the whole game

Well,

that did not happen in the past, but I fear I got a new patch and now this.
I started AC yesterday and realized, as soon as I click that "power off" button on the left bottom ( I play with the HTC vive ) OR when I press Escape and then leave, it shuts down the whole game and im back in Win10. And there is no crash message, its a nice shut down like you do it from the lobby in the past ( where that extra field pops up, if you really want to leave ).

Update!!!

The problem has to do with SteamVR because when I play on the normal monitor ( which is horrible vs VR btw :-D ), the game works totally normal.
Hope this helps for someone else too.

 

Ok another update!

It is definitely a problem of Assetto Corsa. Why im so sure? Because when I start the game with my HTC Vive and change to single monitor or Oculus Rift, the game runs fine and goes back to the lobby when I quit it ( off course its not in VR, its like I play in a cinema with a huge video wall in front of me ).
As soon as I select the other virtual mode ( dont know the exact name of it right now ), I can play the game fine, but if I quit from the race, it will shut down the game.

So, do you get normally some response from the devs here, like if they will have a look? Or how to troubleshoot deeper?

Ok, me again - I SOLVED THE PROBLEM ( for real now ).

So, for everyone who suffers the same problem, this is what I did:

- changed Assetto Corsa folder name under documents ( wasnt necessary imo )
- my setting in Steam on assetto corsa are:
activate Steam overlay ingame ( yes )
use VR cinema mode, while Steam VR is active ( no )

under SteamVR:
general:
when starting, steamVR startplacebeta activating ( yes )

developer:
VR - Dashboard activated ( yes )
SteamVR starting, if an app getting started ( yes )

In Assetto Corsa, I use that VR mode ( not the Oculus Rift ) under visual settings.

( sorry for the mis translation, my settings are in german language and im an old guy )


So, the main difference ingame is that before with the bug, I also saw the menu in my HTC Vive VR glasses. This does not happen anymore. To be honest, I liked that "feature" because you could keep on your VR and click through the menu.

Now when im in the lobby, I have to take a look on my monitor because I cant see it in my VR anymore. But when I log out from the multiplayer server, it does not close the game anymore, im back in the lobby.

Problem solved!
