For me I would like to see this in the game.

NKP has it, it doesn't have any sense to me that a newer simulator made by the same people not having it.

Well, to be fair, random weather was going to came in a update for NKP that never saw the light of day, but at least we had different levels of rain to choose from.

 

It would be nice to have it as an option, I think it would make it more interesting.

 

It would be a nice feature, tho a fixed weather, rain, snow, dry would do just fine too.

 

It definitely should have it if done properly, such as aqua-planning in the rain. Racing in the rain is one of the most exciting moments in racing, where racing strategy must come into play. "What are the chances for raining this race? Should i make a rain contingency plan? When do I pit to change tires?" It's a huge part of racing and if done right can improve our experiences dramatically

 

NKP's puddles are awesome. Imagine if they can make the same in AC with actual holes in the tarmac.

 

I'd like to see dynamic weather as a minimum and real world, historical and current weather as an ideal.

The current permanently clear skys are very boring.

I don't think AC 'needs' it, but it would be nice to have. Weather is one of those things that we all think we want, but then spend 90% of our time racing in the sun. I do think it should be added at some point but not before we have day/night transitions and pitstops.

 

You have to admit seeing the same sunny skies are boring. We have sunny, now we need overcast and rain. Also we need night time racing. They have a headlight on and off feature in the game already. How cool will it be racing at night with the headlights beaming. So yeah we need rain and night racing.

 

Here in the UK it's the only sunshine we see for about 11 months.

Weather and night racing is on Kunos future feature list, just some way off yet.

 

I would very much *like* variable weather, but I would settle for the appearance of weather, I don't really need the road to be wet, I just want some storm clouds.

 

Like it yes, absolutely need it no, it will not make 1.0 i do not think weather is even on the radar for that so then it would slip to after content either was weather dlc or expansion. which i would buy, since i like rain racing to a certain extent its always exciting. but for hotlapping track days general racing we want ideal weather anyway.

It it made 1.0 somehow i would be like that for sure but its hardly things i would die for, now proper night racing, track lighting, headlights yes please.

 

AC is also a drifting simulator, and whats better for drifting then a wet surface.

 

No, what the game needs are more tracks but weather as well as day/night cycles are not important at this stage.

 

weather and day/night would be nice at some point, for sure! not sure if they can allocate any of their time to that just yet though. i expect it's probably something they plan to work on in the future. or i'd like to hope so at least.

And as above, track grip based on the current 'progressive' racing line rubbering in throughout a session. Is there a grip penalty for bring offline currently?
