1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

PS4 Porsche 911 GT3 R stock setup

Is it just me, or is the stock set up on the 911 GT3 R racer abysmal? It seems like the suspension is way too stiff, and it's practically at the minimum level. It makes it hard to control when there are any sort of bumps in the track surface. The ride height is also set incredibly low and without making adjustments, you can hear it bottoming out. I also don't know if it's the differential, or just because I have TC turned off, but the car becomes incredibly oversteery in any corner where throttle is applied.

I made some adjustments that made it more manageable, but wondering if anyone else is having the same issues. Maybe I'm just a garbage driver.

Yes, I agree. Several people in Spain have commented the same issue. The suspension is insane hard...

It is bumpy, but I had no issues with it being underivable. If you're using softs make sure you aren't overheating the rears, that makes the tail of the car feel very unstable.

It's not undriveable, but it is far more difficult than any other GT3 car with the stock set up. I changed a lot of things, and made it manageable, but still the suspension is far too hard in my opinion. With the springs as soft as the settings would allow, the thing bounces an incredible amount over small bumps that wouldn't disturb other cars with stiffer suspension settings.

IIRC the fast bump, and fast rebound settings were abnormally stiff stock. A few tweaks to those and it became much nicer. Still stiff, but it feels more realistic to me.

This is a work in progress, but this is the dampers settings I used for the "Ready for the Party" special event. Managed gold time on the mediums, should have the video with the full setup up later this week. Anyways saw I still had the screenshot of my setup so hopefully that can help you out a bit.

Also, I set the rear anti roll bar to 1 and the front to 7, that helped a lot as well.

I drove that track in the cup car and it was a bit of a ride.

I has a quick attempt at the Hotlap Special Event at Zandvoort last night and it was the roughest drive I ever experienced. The bouncing through the sweeping right hander after the S turns (T5-T6?) was unbelievable. Tonight will be a session of trying to tame that and get a more compliant base set-up. Fabulous car to drive aside from this.

Good luck with the cup car, it has adjustable antiroll bars and ride height but that it is all when it comes to compliance, I did kind of expect some sort of damper adjustment but that screen is locked, I do wonder if that is another oversight or the same on PC?

I am enjoying the challenges of the GT 3 R, it is an epic, but difficult beast it is going to be fun exploring what it has to offer :)

By far the most animated GT3 race car to drive on a stock setup. Love it! But yeah, seems a bit overkill on these stock settings...

Not too bad at Rudbull ring. Not right, but not too bad. I tried the Porsche GT3 R and the Porsche Cup car at Silverstone GP and in some sections of the track those two cars are literally bouncing fully off the track surface and it just looks wrong. None of the other cars do it. It looks cartoon like its so bad. Waited all this time, paid the money and get flying cartoon cars.

This is bad for me, because personally i like to drive all cars in default set up. I like to adjust to the car, not adjust the cars handling to me. But these 2 Porsche are just wrong, and obviously kunos didn't notice.

As others have said, the cars are fantastic to drive, with TC on or off. But that bouncing is not meant to be there.

Only takes a few tweaks to get the car to a pretty good standard tbh.

Dropping a vid here of me doing a 6:29 round the 'ring with it.

Yeah, I got a pretty decent set up after tweaking quite a few things. The damper settings are almost all way too stiff with way too little travel. Also had to raise the ride height and mess with the differential settings. It feels quite stable now, but the stock setup for the car is waaaaaaaaay off. Nice vid by the way.
