1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    And with every physicupdate they have to reset it. And Kunos improve every update the tiremodel and physics. I think this isnt necessary.

    leaderboards are the essence of every competition, thats true. I can't imagine the game not having such a mechanic in place. On PC, its easy, mods take over. But on consoles, it needs to be in place at launch. I'm sure the devs are aware ...

    Woah, hang on, no leaderboards? I wasn't too bothered about just finding out that there are no private lobbies, but there must be leaderboards, right?

    There are no leaderboards on PC in the base game, so there probably won't be any on console. We can download a mod to do it, but that's not going to be possible on console for now.

    I'm not saying they should or shouldn't have it but going by how unpopular some leaderboards are I wouldn't be surprised if they don't include it.

    Look at RSR live timing for the PC version, it's not very popular anymore and there are tons of track/car combos that haven't even registered a time.
    If you go have a look at the easier cars like the GT2's on some tracks like Imola there are only 38 people with recorded times, if you go by those numbers it would appear very few actually care about leaderboards.

    The RSR boards were reset only a couple of weeks ago, the numbers of times set aren't really representative at the moment. Couple that with the new anti cheat code banning people with certain mods and support posts about times not being recorded and it's obvious RSR has some problems at the moment.

    If you use the Rank History tab to look at the times from the last RSR version the more popular combos have over 500 times logged. OK that's not massive numbers but it's significant for a 3rd party app I think. Combos that feature in the achievements and special events list tend to have the most times set.

    Official leaderboards would be great for AC but managing them properly would be a full time job for a couple of people probably. The team is tiny, I can't see it happening unfortunately.

    So how can you see how good or bad your time is compared to say the best time and or friends - are you saying you cant at all

    Sorry to drag out the question but if no leaderboards at all coupled with no private lobbies will be a major let down for league racers

    I totally agree with you.
    It was already hard with the PC version since different people used different modded leaderboards and so on.
    A major letdown, but no private lobbies is a way bigger problem.
    I was confident that Kunos would have learned from pCars launch on consoles, but they didn't.
    It's in fact exactly the same as with pCars.
    Big Hype and expectations coupled with a slightly rushed release /:
    Hope they'll add the stuff in the future, but it will take time.

    That would be because RSR had a fairly recent wipe;) in PC version there is friends leaderboards too no idea if there is any Playstation or Xbox friends leaderboards at least.

    In general leader boards are useless unless all times on it are using the same conditions, having something open even like steam friends means nothing as you can dial in conditions and get 3 seconds advantage in any combo pretty much. So in general regular in game leaderboards I think are pretty pointless anyway as they are either down to who can set the ultimate conditions or even more so who is the best cheat. :rolleyes:

    A friends leaderboard would be a start

    But that is the point of leaderboards, specifically looking at time trial leaderboards , which are run under the same conditions track wise and you tune to be as fast as you can, general in game boards as you say do not measure like for like scenarios, but do give you some kind of baseline
