XB1 Race Grid Inconsistencies

Hi folks. I did a quick search, and I didn't find anything similar.

I've noticed some inconsistencies in how drivers are placed on the grid during online play. It happens quite frequently. For example: I qualified 2nd after a full qualifying session (the session wasn't skipped). When the race started, I was shown in P1 on the list on the left, P2 on the right, but I was P6 on the grid. Also, a driver who connected just in time for the race was placed on the grid ahead of me in P5.

Everyone on grid has a different grid poison on screen, we laugh about it every race. The grid lines up correct though to qualifying times. It happens every race.

 

Thank you for the response; however, that's not accurate in this case. I qualified P2, but I was P6 on the grid.

 

That's it? No more feedback? It still happens EVERY race.

 

Is it possible that theres some glitch that your lap is dismissed because of getting off track and it doesnt dismiss it until you get on the grid or something? I have no clue and this have never happend to me but just throwing some ideas.

 

All I can offer is our online race experience: unless someone joins the lobby late (eg after qualifying) the actual grid is correct. The stated grid positions on the screen and above each car are nonsense - we laugh about it every time - but the actual positions are correct (fastest time on pole). We haven't yet experienced a grid that was factually wrong. The late joiners being placed at the front is another frustrating bug for sure.

 

I think what happens is this, time ends for qualifying but your allowed to finish your lap, when you are qualifying and cross the line your time is displayed on your screen but the general leaderboard doesn't get updated instantly, takes about 30 seconds. The last cars on track finish there time, as soon as the last car goes past finish line, qualification ends, but there times aren't updated fast enough to leaderboard and cars get dumped by the strangest method in any racing game I've ever played by being dropped by a crane lol. So when the grid lines up and you think your in 2nd place but in 4th I think it's because those cars in front of you have done a quicker lap at the last minute. We normally have 10 in a lobby all in party chat and the grid always seems to line up correct to our fastest times, even though the in game grid display hasn't got a clue what it's doing.

 

I have a screen shot that shows me in P1, but P2 on the grid. I qualified in P5. If I can figure out how to post it here, I will.

 

Good stuff, if you have a Windows 10 PC or LAptop with the Xbox One app installed you can download the screenshot direct to you Captures folder. Left hand side of the Xbox One app game DVR tab, One Xbox Live tab at the top of the screen and the image will be in there.

Also report it via 505 games support as a ticket so that they look at if formally.
