1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Great review.
Thinking of pulling the trigger on the AC edition. You've written the review a long time ago so how is the RS1 holding up so far?

(For some reason, all your pictures are gone from the post now....strange)

Rs1 is a quality rig, but the seat position is totally wrong , it's too high

...finally a review of the Rseat RS1 black alcantara

As an owner of RS1 I would not recommend it to anyone. So many crucial things are badly designed and customer support is one for the worst in the industry.
You can get very nice 80/20 rig for the same or less money.

Sorry to hear that. What are the crucial things that are badly designed?

No fancy setup here so hopefully they will work just fine with the RS1.

    - T300rs wheel servo base
    - Ferrari 599XX Evo wheel
    - TH8A (used as analogue handbrake)
    - Fanatec CSL elite (Load cell)

I got in contact with Rseat europe last week (had some questions regarding the RS1 & N1) and they replied within a couple of hours (even though i'm not an owner or a registered member...maybe got lucky?).
Really like how the RS1 looks. Its black on black look/theme sold it to me :). Might go for the alcantara one before the summer vacation so it would be nice to get some feedback before pulling the trigger. (Not into 80/20 or aluminium frames because they will look out of place at least in my gaming/office room).

    Thanks

Would you care to elaborate further on the reasons why? A friend of mine was skeptical when I said I had heard some bad things about the RS1

The only support you get is pre sale, after that they just ignore you.
Bad things as far as design goes:
    - Super flimsy flexible pedal deck, designed as spring board suspended on one end by two bolts. Flexes even under moderate pressure, forget any more or less serious pedals, even CSP
    - Shifter arm moves when shifting, held in place by one bolt.
    - High, bus style seating position
    - All accessories and wheel mount arm are on the right side, making rig unbalanced, heavy on one end.
    - No over the lap articulated keyboard tray
    - Legs are screwed into plain rivet nuts mounted into drilled tube frame holes , just matter of time before they start giving up.
    - Awful packaging, mine box came disintegrated and I cannot blame shipper, you just cannot package heavy things like this into one carton box with barely any padding and expect it to make overseas in one piece.

I've owned it since 2015 and all that time worked on different improvements to make it work, so it was more like a modding platform, aftermaket seat, different seat rails, new buttkickers mounting, improvised e-brake mounting from HOTAS arm, N1 shifter arm, modified pedal deck, retrofitted N1 keyboard tray...
Guess I am just sick of it.
Will grab sim-lab P1 when finances allow.

N1 seems to be addressing some RS1 issues so if you really want rSeat have your money, I'd look into that one and forget RS1 altogether. But again, I have no first hands experience with it to really recommend.

I've not long bought the Simetik K2 cockpit, quite cheap, very sturdy and plenty of adjustment available

    Hello,

I own a Rs1 since june 2015 and i'm really surprise about your issues with this seat.

Two bolts here too, but the thing has never moved, nothing flimsy or light. CPS v3 mounted on it. Playing with racing shoes and kicking the damn thing sometimes very hard, no problems.

One bolt? WTF? I have FOUR bolts here. No wonder yours is moving...

Seating position is ok here, even with a cushion. I find the position too high with the N1. Matter of taste, i think.

I agree, the whole thing is a bit heavy on the right side here too.

I agree, could be better. But tricky with the shifter in place.

I move the seat everytime i want to play, and nothing has broke here.

Yes, mine was shipped only from 100 km and the paint was a bit damaged in some places. Big improvements needed here.

The only thing i have changed on mine is the padding, the original one was a bit cheap and not very firm.

For handbrake, they are working to adapt the N1's shifter/handbrake mount for the RS1 but they take their time...

The arm (tube) is held in place by one bolt, thus movement. N1 shifter arm is a bit better as there are two bolts but still flexes like crazy when you pull H-Brake.

On pedal deck flex, it's well know issue, here's the solution invented by one iRacing member.

I have tried to contact RSeat multiple times on this but they just ignore my inquiries, so much for customer support.
Anyway, glad you are happy with yours, for others, you've been warned, don't repeat my mistake.

Yeah, the N1 looks much more rigid and stable.

I thought about getting that one, but then refrained from doing so, because one of the main issues I have with the RSeat stuff is the lack of flexibility.
Yeah, they offer a lot of options, but you are still limited to stuff they provide.
Can't really do any DIY with that sort of rig. If you don't need that (think ahead 5 years at least!), then it's fine, but if you do, you're in trouble.
Especially can't mount any Al profile to it, because that would look really ridiculous.

For me that was the main reason why I decided to go Al profile.

Andrew where did you get the heel plate?

    Sim-lab
    https://sim-lab.eu/product/stainless-steel-heel-rest/
Keep in mind, it's quite wider than HE pedal plate and you need to figure a way to mount it on the top, I used some heavy duty double sided tape, seems to be holding pretty good, drilling plate and using screws would be more solid for sure, I just didn't want to ruin HE plate.

You may also want to check my latest post there, there is a new solution from RSeat as well, not sure though who's in the right mind gonna shell around $300 shipped for what should be there in the original rig design. And no, accordingly to rep they do not retrofit newly sold RS1 with this reinforced deck, but it will be available as extra accessory.
