1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

's' versions for tracks

    Hi,

I think it would be great to see various 'S' versions of certain tracks just like it's done with cars. This would be for minor changes in track layouts that don't alter the track layout that much.

Take for example the Nurburgring, the last chicane (NGK chicane) is used in F1 style racing, but as far as I know most GT race events don't use the chicane but go straight. This is just a minor change to the track, but it does offer more variation and is more true to life.

This would also allow modders to add more different versions of their tracks where only 1 or 2 corners are changed, so the track selection menu doesn't get 'spammed' with various tracks with almost the same layout.

Well, I think there are already some tracks like Mid Ohio for example, who offer a different layout.
Or take a look at Vallelunga. Or Nürburgring.

    I don’t get your point exactly, I guess. ;)

Yes but then we are talking about longer and shorter versions of a certain track. What I mean is if there is just a minor difference in one of the corners of a track, let me illustrate this:
    [IMG] [IMG]
Look at the difference between these 2 layouts, the only difference is how the NGK schikane is driven, the same would apply to the sprint version of nurburgring. It would be cool if one could choose between these two types within some sort of 's' menu, instead of adding 2 additional circuits to the track selection menu, which would IMO be excessive for such a minor difference.

So track selection would be like:
    Nurburgring GP (S1 - With F1 chicane, S2 - Without F1 chicane)
    Nurburgring Sprint (S1 - With F1 chicane, S2 - Without F1 chicane)

Hope it's more clear now :)

    Yep, it is!
You’re right, that would somehow clean up the track selection screens.

Would be nice indeed, but that one is very different on it's own, just like the nurburgring sprint version in comparsion to the GP track, so I wouldn't really see that as just a small difference to a excisting track.

Others thing I had been thinking about.
    - Spa normal and Spa S1 making use of the pitlane running down to eau rouge
    - Monza normal and Monza without the first chicane (like the old monza, don't know if it's actually used for racing, but have seen some testing with an Audi LMP1 car)
    - Silverstone normal and Silverstone with the different last chicane, that goes a bit more straight just like at nurburgring

yeah, i was going to write how i would rather they made some more layouts e.g mullenbach instead of very minor adjustments to existing tracks but i edited it down to "i want mullenbach" :p as im not particularly against your idea but i would rather (if those corner variations are from different years) that they named the layouts accordingly or just gave them another name if they existed at the same time.
