1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Sense of speed....

I prefer it for replays, but I find it very awkward for actually driving with it on a single screen..

With my 22 inch monitor I move it close with my Ergotron mount and set 40deg.

It feels about right, as others have said 75deg looks great for replays but fails from an accurate driving perspective.

Take off "lock head to horizon". You'll feel the weight transfer better, the bumps, the undulations in the track, your heart beat will go up, you'll feel speed as you build it better, you'll feel the car better, etc.

Made a HUGE difference for me in terms of overall enjoyment + feeling the car (which improved not only my best laptimes, but overall consistency as well) + sensation of speed / bumps / track surface imperfections/undulations.

You can also raise the head motion and speed things, there are 4 sliders in the options. As it seems to have been toned down the last 3 or 4 builds.

By the way I run 25 degrees FOV. My eyes are horizontally 70 cm away from my 24 inch 16:9 monitor, and the perfect FOV to have a 1:1 representation of real-life for that setup is I think about 23 or 24 degrees. You should be going lower for your setup most likely unless you have a large television and are sitting right up to it, or just like the arcadey "video-game" look. Just slowly lower it by 3 or 4 degrees each time over a month or so, so that you get used to itand ease into it. 25 degrees may be low for some on a single screen in regards to peripheral vision, but you should go for at-least 35 degrees then, dare I say max 40. Trust me you will never go back to such a squished, distorted FOV again. Oh and then purchase 2 more moitors and go triple screens :)

  5. I used to use 90+ fov but can hardly see anything at the front. The "correct" FOV says 27 degrees with which I can hardly see anything on the sides. So this is really a compromised thing, the right one is the one you feel good.

ohhhh yes "lock head to horizon" did it for me, better judgement better sense of speed, that should be unchecked by default imo, it reeeally made the game for me but theres tons of things that make a difference together from all the options to the size of the tv , the ffb on a wheel...you can take it further and get simcommander and put bass shakers everywhere to further get a sense of speed.
all in all i think if it doesnt feel right its an indication of setting or setup being wrong.

    what worked for me

    uncheck lock to horizon
raise all 3 gforce setting: under view
big tv : small monitor bad timing or super low fov, big tv = higher fov = faster sense of speed and better scale to life
    vsync: off, kill fps
if your pc cant handle the gfx lower gfx setting a laggy game kill sense of speed also

other than that slow cpu or old gfx car ??? hope this helps

    I'm driving with 29 FOV on single 24" monitor. It's fine :).
It is the equivalent of 45 FOV (on 16:10 monitor) in iRacing and there are many aliens driving using such FOV because you can be more precise.

    :D
    Me, too.
In fact it hurted, cause while turning the environment moved so fast. :(
But first: I couldnt see anything after getting near the turn. Then the speedfeeling suffered, which makes racing games - at least in GT3-territory - boring and kinda pointless for me, while AC generally allready seems somehow slower then other titles.
Still, the pros of a realistic FOV are missing.
But you cant have everything with a S.-Screen.
In this case it is a individual question, where you have to find your personal sweetspot.

What helped for speed: Going closer to the dashboard and higher. You see more (unblury) parts of the track that increase the speedfeeling.
Works good with a MC12, less with a Z4, cause of the long hood.
AF inceases this effect, of course.

  11. Actually this is not only down to the FOVs. Visuals like motion blur, smoothness of fps, vibration, and even the sound of wind will greatly exaggerate the sense of speed. I have once had experience in the Renault Megane 265 in PCARS which had quite loud wind noise, and it feels fast.

I like a realistic fov as anything too wide just feels un natural and awkward. Some cars and tracks will naturaly feel faster and Ive driven a few faster cars on track which have always felt slow compared to karts on smaller kart tracks even if the bigger cars are going 3x as fast

Funny how the rf2 karts just got released and these look as mad with a realistic fov as they are in reality. Some people seem to think driving cars on a track always seems quick when in most cases if you look at tthe speedo or telelemtry after you get surprised at the speeds you were going.

On full size tracks especialy international standard or gp tracks driving a not so crazy fast race car feels quite slow. I have never driven a fast high df open wheeler for real and im sure this would get your attention more then the cars ive driven with the fastest likely being an aussie racing car. Ive also done some laps in a v8 supercar which is similar laptime wise but on smaller tighter tracks the little aussie racing cars feel much quicker and were actually way more fun to drive.

More like karts on steroids even more so then a formula ford which is a bit heavier and slower. All the tracks I drove on were fairly open circuits with lots of runoff so would be quite different on a street circuit with walls on the edge of the track.

Having said that I still remember not having the balls to take t1 flat at phillip island in a formula ford as it would tend go loose and exit with only inches to spare. Very open part of track but going off there at over 200kmh just didnt seem like a good idea for some reason even if there was nothing hard to hit lol. That speed felt so slow doing down the main straight but felt mighty quick as you got closer to the turn in point.

Can someone share setup for a triple screen. I have a bad sense of speed
Am away from the central screen 580mm
    I have a 3x24"

  14. Just use the "Triple Screen app" that you can find from the app list of AC.

  16. That's what you see on real track too.

But if you want some more you can lower the distance value from app.

It would be interesting to have a real FOV app for single screen users.
