OK Slow down GT2s

Probably an unpopular opinion as it's not real-life like, but please slow down the GT2s 2 or 3 seconds per lap compared to GT3s. Mixed races are just awkward as is.
GT3s are slower on the straights, but faster in the corners while overall the laptimes of both classes is pretty similar. Just makes for awkward situations and ruins the fun of multiclass racing.

 

That's exactly the purpose of GT3 vs. GT2.
GT2 have more power GT3 have less power but way better aero, so GT2 are faster on the straights and slower through turns.

 

Yes, which is why it's awkward to race multiclass. You end up in pointless fights with people in another class who you're not actually racing.

 

We need to get accustomed and adapt our racing, not wasting times in useless fights.

Exactly. And you’re not liking it, so go do GT3 only servers. Why should Kunos artificially slow down the GT2 cars because you can’t cope with the nature of multi class racing?

 

I have driven multiclass races for around 10 years, I'm perfectly capable of sharing the track with multiple classes. It is exactly the reason why I'm asking to slown down the GT2s. 2 classes that put in similar laptimes but excel at different parts of the track is just stupid. Feels like a meme right now.

 

It’s pretty selfish to come on here and ask Kunos to artificially slow down a group of cars because you’re not liking how they are. As I said, there is a solution for you… don’t drive in mixed class servers. Simple.

 

GT2s and GT3s don't share the track in real life. All about this is artificial.

GT3 and GT4 are more suited to multiclass.

 

GT2 cars run with GT3 and GT4 cars in GT America series since 2021 season - three years now! GT2 cars run in 24h Series with GT3, GT4, Cup, GTX, TCR and TCX cars since 2022. There were also single entries is some regional cups. More to come: GT2 cars are still planned for Intercontinental GT Challenge, Nürburgring Langstrecken Series and other series.

 

GT2 is driven by amateur drivers and it's a gentleman's league. GT2 is atleast 4 seconds off pace from GT3s in that series.

Yes, GT2 IRL is dedicated to gentleman drivers (in GT2 European Series, at least) - FIA Silver, Bronze licenced and ex-Platinum, ex-Gold drivers at the age over 30, so we may never know what are Pro driver lap times there. You cannot restrict drivers like that in the ACC. But there are Silver and Bronze drivers in GT3 cars, too. And they mix with the GT2 both in quali and race, but there are not many GT2 cars outside GT2 European Series right now, so it's hard to take any real conclusions out of it. The full potential of the GT2 has not been released yet, I believe (fingers crossed for the Intercontinental GT Challenge and Nordschleife).

In ACC there is everything - pros in GT2, amateurs in GT3, different skills, different hardware, in big numbers. It's the multiclass at its best and worst, embrace it, adapt, enjoy it. Or, as it was said above: if you don't like it, avoid it.

 

And the rain, which never soaks to everyone's liking...

 

It is a very good DLC, the GT2 pack...The declaration of principles of the founding fathers remains intact.My old and battered scaphoids flap like the palms of a walrus...or a seal.The rain, the ffb, the braking references... "the flag boys" effusive. I was unaware of this type of automobile, and I am sure that they are going to provide good competition for this emblematic simulator, 2024 is the year!

 

This will get even more interesting once NSL is available. There have been "challenging" situations in the past due to Porsches Cup Cars having higher top speeds in comparison to GT3 cars. So we just have to keep that in mind and treat other classes with respect.
Brakes are also a subject to factor into your driving:
If a GT3 overtakes a GT4, GT2, Cup Car... in the last meters of the braking zone and applies full braking force the accidents is waiting to happen...
