1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

I suffer the same problem with my current cpu, it´s a 3820 @ 4500 mhz (maybe today it´s not the best, but it´s still a very good and powerful CPU).

Maybe could be an optimisation problem instead of CPU bottlenecking.

I'd wait until the full release of AC to see how much it has been optimized. Even after the full release they can still optimize the A.I and whatnot.

AI really is quite heavy so far. Other is smoke effects, which can be surprisingly taxing even at normal. I have i7-3930K@4.6GHz and two EVGA GTX670 2GB in SLI and I have 3 displays at 5760x1080 and using ingame triple display bezel corrections and stuff. I can run races easily in pretty much every track around 12-15 AI cars, but with full grid it goes to 30FPS, momentarily even lower, in certain tracks, cars and daytime. AI is definitely GPU-bound as it is, because lowering many of the GPU intensive effects, like cube mapping, pretty much have zero impact on my FPS. So far, smoke seems to have the biggest impact, which is also quite strange considering that smoke looks quite simple texture effect.

I do think that AI can be tweaked more and I'm not worried at this moment. There are racing games out there with competent AI which take large packs without suffering severe FPS hit. It is in my opinion important at this point that the graphics engine seems to have good performance (except smoke effect). AI is quite new implementation for the game, and it requires other developement too.

You can clearly see that the problem is that AC is not utilizing the other cores. This seems to be the case for a lot of games at the moment, but scaling is achieved by forking out tasks to other cores.which is not easy to program.

I wonder why they do that, even though their minimum requirements is dual core. That's where I lose a lot of performance then with my fx processor (which suck at single core things)

it was me who posted this picture, and what I see is that it is to pull over for a nucleus as in all others, and does not get to spend half of computer resources

  7. so seems first core is carrying most work, and others not, is there a way to make the first core a bit more less working and make the others do a bit more job?
