Speed Control

A number of tracks, both official and mod including KS's Black Cat County, Trento, Nords Tourist and mods such as Lake Louise, La Coste, Rivijera, and others are wonderful touristic roads to drive, for the sheer pleasure of driving and enjoying the great outdoors in an automobile.

You can really appreciate the moment if you turn on a radio, open up a near by window in your office, and put a drink in the cup holder attached to your desk as you drive along at a leisurely pace enjoying the countryside. However, many of our road cars are modern vehicles. It'd be nice if it was possible to turn on cruise control in order to maintain a safe road speed.

So here's a vote for cruise control. On the off chance it'd be a real easy setting to add to this beautiful simulation.

 

Just my 2 cents, no offense intended:
Not for me thanks, I would find not bad a speed limit and a penalty system for sort of "gare di regolarità" (timed races?), but a speed limit applied by AC - eg. like into pitlane - would be far far away from any possible driving pleasure for me.
When I want to go slow, I simply do it (like I guess you do). But, most important, when I want to look at something beautyful, I switch off my computer and go for the real world.

 

tbh: If you like cruising, try American Truck Simulator. It's perfect for that.

AC is more about driving fast.

I have better idea! Just go downstairs to your garage and get your car for a little spin.

 

Will be really difficult to drive on some tracks though.. or impossible.

 

You could edit the surfaces.ini and set all road surfaces to IS_PITLANE=1, so you'd have a 80 km/h cruise control
