1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    But look to apex isnt the same thing as real head motion do, or what OP is asking for? Look to apex read where the turn is, right? Real head motion points where you point your wheel.
    Its called look ahead in rfactor at least and I think what Stefano said no to, was the look to apex.

    Is this two different things or am I just confused?

    It's the same thing. That's why I suggested OP to use RHM in post #4. ;)

    I think most 'Look to Apex' in the previous simracing games are ..... view to the direction the wheel is pointing. .... what RHM also does. ;)

    Except that Real Head Motion can do much more of course

    You can use negative gforce effects, in camera_manager.ini from documents/assetto corsa/cfg
    GFORCEX=0 (lateral)
    GFORCEZ=0 (longitudinal)
    GFORCEY=0 (vertical)

    Try -3 lateral and 3 longi. The negative lateral effect means the driver's view will turn towards the corner, as opposed to the g-force effect on a head which will make it lean towards the outside. But in real life we can control better our head and eyes than in game without the help of trackir or oculus rift. So experiment with the negative lateral effect and try higher negative numbers if you want more lean towards the corner.

    The positive longitudinal gives nice immersion during braking/accelerations and gear shifts. The positive vertical effect I prefer 0 now, but value 1 should be fine too. But of course you can just use the lateral one and keep longi and vertical neutral.

    My current settings are -3, 3, 1. Attention that when crashing the car, the cam movement can become intense, I think mainly due to the longitudinal gforce effect, but the negative lateral also influences it.
    This is with a fixed camera to the car, meaning you need to uncheck "lock onboard to horizon" in video options-view.
    If you want less shaky effect, then put vertical to 0 and disable shake effect option.

    I'm back to default game settings, after reinstalling Windows and all games. They are good, 1.4x g-forces with 1.4 cam shake. Prefer it though, over the custom ones I posted above. I use no wheel animation and the car gives good sensation of movement. But of course is inferior to something like oculus rift/trackir.

    [SHAKE]
    GFORCEX=-8
    GFORCEZ=4
    GFORCEY=4
    SHAKEMULT=5.5

    is good so far. with headmovement on apex and not on wheel-rotation, like it is now, it would be pretty good.

    camera_onboard.ini also has some values, but not tested how good it is to change values there.

    [GFORCES]
    MIX=0.00000,-0.00600,-0.00750
    LAG=0.8

    [SHAKE]
    SCALE=0.00200,0.00040,0.00030
    FREQ=150,150,100
    RANDOM=2.9

    but all these values only affect f1-onboard cam, the values have no effect on all the f6-cams. the f6-cams could use them aswell, they look bit too static.

    RHM is a great optional addition to the game.

    But it would be more practical to leave it as a mod, the developer of RHM just needs "TWO" additional API R/W methods for the driver eyes cam control to make it independent and anround 9x faster as it currently is.

    It would be a Win(Kunos)+Win(RHM)+Win(Drivers) situation.

    But also without that, it's working great, only slower in performance and needs an additional 3rd parity soft.

    Look to apex is awful, totally ruins corner entry and useless if you have multiple screens.
    IF this is added make option to disable it.
