1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

It would still mean Pirelli have to produce many more tires.

And yes, picking the right tires is a part of doing a good job, but should it really be one of the biggest contributors to the results? That's not a sport I want to watch.

Not sure if this has been corrected yet because I haven't had time to read forward, but this is false. IndyCars, to my knowledge, have never run restrictor plates (that's a NASCAR thing). There was a CART race several years ago at Texas that they had to cancel because they were pulling so many G's that the drivers were starting to black out but that's the only time that has happened. The current cars do not use restrictor plates. They have a different aero kit and run a different engine mapping for ovals and road courses but I believe the changes to power are from the turbo and the drivers don't experience any kind of blacking out episodes with the current cars at any of the current tracks.

That is correct. They started using what was basically "restrictor aero" in the 90's with the hanford device, but every race but Indy had the same engine rules/package.

Average lap of ~235 mph; top speeds during the lap near 250 and only scrubbing down to 230ish in the corners.

Lol, looks like the skin didn't load correctly. Very bad wireframe mesh, they need better 3D artists.

I still don't get why they use such large cars.I'd rather see sportcars racing, not huge boats, as efficient as they might be..

  13. Kinda like the comically large boats used for racing, just makes it look even more impressive.

It's just about marketing. Like Mercedes changes the safety car in F1 every now and then when they want to push a new/different model.
(Even though the car underneath is always pretty much the same iirc)

BMW M8 GTE: I prefer this kind of cars than building a racecar and then make it road legal like the Ford GTE.
But it would be better if BMW would create a real sportscar than those boats. Sure, it doesn´t matter at all if it looks like a flat McLaren or a huge Bentley, but it´s not my taste of car.

    OT END

I'm one that loves the boxy race cars like the M6/M8 and Bentley. I can't explain why, I just do. The cheese wedge shapes of the Ferraris and McLarens do very little for me. I dunno, different strokes for different folks. This is one of my favorite looking race cars of all time, maybe I have a problem.
