1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

TrackIR and head tracking discussion

But in real life, you do it partially in response to accelerations in your inner ear and partially to offload the lateral g forces. Your brain then effectively cancels out the roll input caused by moving your head. In the sim, all that happens is that the horizon tilts. Personal choice in the end, I suppose.

That's the biggest issue with TrackIR. The solution is to get an LED clip or Track Hat.

Cover the window ? I got a small piece from a black theater curtain in my window to cover the sunlight.

Really happy for the TrackIR fix in release 1.0.8!

After th 1.0.8 update I can only move in x,y,z direction - no yaw or pitch.
This is with the "official" Trackir profile for ACC and when using my default profile.

I have tried to tick / untick Yaw, Pitch, Roll, X, Y, Z in all kind of combinations, with and without "Trueview"

TrackIr works flawless in all other games.

    Same issue here.

Yaw and Pitch are good. But I still have to limit my frames to 60 to avoid the infernal flickering issue!

For the axles to work, set LWW to 0%.

So, on what cameras does it seem to work and on which ones is it buggy?

  12. Great addition indeed. Only thing left is to solve the flickering issue without having to lock fps on 45 or 60 (mine only works @ 45, everything else is a flick fest - GTX 1080 driver 436.15).

Flickering issue fixed in 1.0.10! :)
Only issue now is it uses default profile unless exclusive is checked...Which is no issue.

Good to know it was fixed. I never really had "flickering" but using TrackIR made the image a bit less smooth. Will check if this has improved along with the fix.

Guys I met this device recently and I saw some videos .. since it doesn't even cost that much, and instead of VR, do you recommend buying according to your experience?

A question, if I turn my head to look to the left or to the right can I keep my eyes on the monitor (27 ")?
    Thanks

Yes, clear recommendation from my side. It has boosted my sim experience, massively at a small price and with 0 FPS hit.

And yes, you can keep your eyes straight if you turn your head if (!) you have set it up correctly. We can surely help you with that. With such a "natural" configuration you'll be able to see apexes for even the tightest turns and look up at the ceiling mirror/down at the instruments. Not more. If you want to look around the entire car, you'll end up with a "nervous" image that will force you to roll back your eyes when turning your head.

I hope this helps with your decision.

I ran it on a 27" before moving to a 43", and even with the smaller screen, looking at the edges of the screen was enough to move the in-game head a lot.

It is really natural to use, when I first got it I ran it on a 22" for a flightsim, and within 30min I was dogfighting and tracking enemy planes.

    So yes, definitely worth buying.

    For starters, please read here:

I set it up exactly like described here and the result is very natural - after that, it took me no lap to get used to it. The method really works superb IMO.

Once you got your gear, I can also share my current values to get you going.
