1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic Traction Control Levels. 1 = Highest?

So, we know different cars come with a few traction control levels. Like the 458 Italia, for example. The TC system on that car has four different values you can choose. That being said, I was watching the latest video from Inside Sim Racing and they're saying that, in AC, It's the opposite of what one may think. In other words, 1 is the maximum level and 4 is the lowest one. After a quick Google search, I found this thread:
    http://simhqmotorsports.com/index.p...ttings-for-traction-control-in-assetto-corsa/
People are saying the same thing there too. Personally, I didn't know about it! Did you?

I knew about it, but it took me some time to figure out, and i thought it was backwards too.
I think it makes more sense for the road cars, in a road car the default is very safe TC, when you go up a driving mode you get less TC.

It makes less sense for race cars, but it was probably for the best that all cars follow the same logic rather than on this car "1" is super aggressive but on this other one it's super safe... Now THAT would be confusing!!!

Good to hear I'm not the only one who didn't figure it out straight away!

I think so too. It's definitely better to have the same logic applied everywhere.

Even though i found out about it, its so counter-intuitive, i sometimes second guess myself and have to double check to be sure

Wish for cars like the 458 they wouldn't name it numerically but like in the real car - Wet,sport, race etc. Also wich the display would work too, always stuck in race mode on the 458. I'm surprised that's something Kunos passed on tbh.

I had no idea this was the case until I stumbled upon this thread a few days ago, it's the same with ABS too. I've found I can pick my breaking points much better now in the GT3's.
I was wondering if anyone knew what the 0 to 100% in the brake balance setting actually meant; I'm assuming the 0 is all the way forward and 100 all to the rear, though I might be wrong :/

On pc it's the value of the front, so 100% means all at the front, 0% means all at the back.
I doubt it's switched around on console and I have never seen it differently elsewhere.

    Doh! Really?
I'd prefer it to display F & R at the respective ends of the bar, 0 - 100% is an odd way of describing it.

The value always reffers to the percentage of the front brakes.

  11. OMG that makes perfect sense. 4 seemed like nothing, I went looking for a fix for the car's (Italia S3) TC system and found this. TYVM
