1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Despite saying I wasn’t having a go I was compelled as the effort to research and set this up was in best intentions. I think the longer tracks make the differential between the elite and the merely great seem way to big and then we get embarrassed to post a lap. TBH I was pretty close not doing unless I broke the 4 min barrier ( not the only barrier I hit incedently) but the Ferran being a much more intuitive car was fun to throw around an drift endlessly around the corners.

    I went to a local sim race centre for a go on a fanatic wheel and they were struggling to find either a road car or a vintage car to set up as they just don’t have any demand for it. It all gt3 and open wheel.

    There is no doubt a skilled driver makes the most of the Available grip and driving this is making me better but ultimately it’s just more satisfying with grip and power.

    The challenges with the cobra and old lotus with vintage tyres make me shudder !!

    Anyway kudos for the intention to pay homage to the film which was great and makes you realise just what incredibly talented and brave drivers they were .

    Thank you for posting a time. Going under four minutes with these cars is no mean feat on this circuit. Race the AI on alien level and they'll be running this sort of pace.

    There's never any need to be embarrassed here. I've been last on several occasions. :p

    Equally, there's never any obligation to play. It's all about enjoying AC. If it's no fun, by all means give it a miss.

    All we can ever do when putting these challenges forward is offer up combos that we think will work; then hope others may enjoy them too.

    You can't please all of the people all of the time.

    ( And to be fair, I stole this one from Hugo anyway :))

    Did not improve as much as I had hoped with the Ford. It looks as though I will not have time to improve since the weekend looks busy. Anyway, @moodyryder I think this was a great challenge so don't doubt your choice. I had fun in both cars, definitely more fun in the Ferrari though! I don't know what it was about the Gt40..after driving the Ferrari it just seemed to stink for me lol im not going to try to analyze my 2.6 second difference between the 2 cars, just take it for what it is. @Pretend racer you're just a beast to put up times so close to each other in two completely different behaving vehicles. I just couldn't get the Gt40 figured out. I honestly just never trusted it. Very good job to everyone else who posted similar lap times in each vehicle...not sure how the hell ya did it! lol

    My ship's off the bottom for now but Poseidon Wrytoff still has some torpedoes left.

    Two veterans of #42, Laughing Gravy & 365gt chipping away at the two cars. Both players massively faster than in August 2017.

    I've thoroughly enjoyed this combi. A brilliant intro film, two legendary cars and a lovely bit of road. And the cars are incredibly close, despite wildly different power to weight. If @DriverModFTW had started with the more difficult GT40 as I did, I think his times might be closer.
    Thanks @moodyryder , you are the thinking man's combi setter!:)

    As well as the cars and track, I've also enjoyed and been inspired by the raised and personal level of competition this week, so have put in lots of time on this combi.
    The target is locked on, we are cleared to engage....but my finger hovers over the button. The Final Cut. Not sure I've got the heart to sink the marvellous ship....

    Just a suggestion, but should the combined board be based on the smallest gap between cars...?;)

    Just had a few attempts in the GT40.... urgh, I can find a second in the first 4-5 corners but just can't replicate my later sectors today, f*** it I don't like this track :) Too many randomly arcing corners, I suspect there is a good reason they don't make racing tracks like this!

    Not a satisfying track to drive for me so I won't bother putting any more laps in, anyway I need to somehow learn to do this for an hour and a half on Tuesday against a bunch of aliens with damage on 100%, thus without hitting any walls at all.... :O
